Kamala Harris fell asleep at the wheel and Democrats are panicking

The Harris campaign has been stopped in its tracks. All because of a big Kamala mistake.

And Kamala Harris fell asleep at the wheel and the Democrats are in a total panic.

It’s understandable that a fresh campaign isn’t going to have its ducks in a row right away. That being said, when you’re launching a campaign ahead of an election just a few months away, you should probably be prepared to hit the ground running on all four cylinders. That’s not been the case with the Kamala Harris campaign. Curiously, they’ve been leaving out a key piece of any successful campaign for President of the United States.

That is having a policy platform to run on. At this point in time, the Kamala Harris campaign has no policy positions on her campaign website. She’s not discussed policy with any reporters in any substantial interview. Her allies have been unable to point to anything that she currently believes in.

The only thing that can be said about the Harris campaign on the policies is that she seems to be completely changing her views from just four years ago when she ran for office and failed spectacularly. In 2019, she positioned herself as one of the most radical Leftists in the race for the Democrat nomination for President that Joe Biden ended up winning. Today? She wants to distance herself from those radical positions of old.

Michael Steele Highlights Challenges Ahead for Vice President Kamala Harris’ Presidential Campaign

On Monday, MSNBC analyst Michael Steele raised concerns about potential challenges that could hinder Vice President Kamala Harris’ momentum in her presidential campaign. Despite being more than three weeks into her campaign as of August 12, Harris has yet to post a comprehensive policy platform on her campaign website.

Steele, speaking on Katy Tur Reports, pointed out the numerous “speed traps” that Harris’ campaign could face, many of which are related to policy. He noted that while Harris’ campaign is generating energy and interest, the real test will be how she aligns her policy positions with the expectations of voters.

“There are a number of speed traps, and a lot of them ironically enough are going to be on policy,” Steele commented. “It’s not going to be on the style and the energy and the interest in the campaign. Where the Democrats have now got to begin to align itself with the voters is on the narrative of ‘okay, we didn’t have a real sense of what a second Biden term would look like, you now need to fill in what a first Harris term will look like.’”

Steele emphasized the pressure Harris faces from the media and the public, as many are eager to see her outline her vision for key issues. “It’s been three weeks, folks, give her the time to sort of put that together,” he said. However, he also stressed the importance of Harris establishing clear narratives on critical issues such as health care, child care, immigration, and foreign policy by the time she enters and exits Chicago during her campaign trail.

“But absolutely, by the time she rolls into Chicago, and certainly when she rolls out of Chicago, she will have to have begun to lay the seeds for narratives on health care, child care, the border, foreign policy,” Steele added. He also highlighted the potential policy challenges Harris may face in differentiating her administration’s stance from the Biden administration, particularly on issues like Israel and Palestine. These challenges, he suggested, could create “speed bumps” that may affect Harris’ campaign momentum and voter support.

During her 2020 presidential run, Harris advocated for a fracking ban, mandatory federal gun buybacks, and the abolition of private health insurance. However, since becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2024 presidential election, her campaign has softened some of these stances. According to The New York Times, Harris now supports an assault weapons ban but does not back a fracking ban or a single-payer health care system.

As Harris’ campaign progresses, the pressure to define her policy platform and address these issues will likely intensify, making it crucial for her to navigate these potential “speed traps” effectively.

The Reason Kamala Harris And Co. Are Delaying Discussing Policy

Kamala Harris and the Democrats know full well that the American people are not a fan of how the last three and a half years have been going. Joe Biden was doing such a bad job as President, the Democrats knew they had to get him out of the picture from the 2024 election.

Harris can’t hide away from that, though. She is the Vice President. So she has three options. She can try to appear more radically Left than Joe Biden, she can try to appear even more moderate than Joe Biden, or she can align herself with the policy positions of the Biden regime almost entirely.

All of these options have serious pitfalls. If she appears more radically Leftist than Joe Biden, she risks losing key voters in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and other key states. There’s a reason most political strategists say Bernie Sanders couldn’t win a general election.

If she aligns herself with Joe Biden almost entirely, the American people are going to want to know how four more years of Biden-Harris admin policies will make anything better considering most believe key issues are now much worse, like the economy and immigration.

Lastly, she could try to make a play for the independents and reshape herself to be moderate. The issue here is that she runs the risk of no one taking her seriously considering it was just four years ago when she tried to run a radical “progressive” campaign.
