After serving his two terms, Americans thought they were done with the former president. Now we’re learning his power runs much deeper.
And a leaked report about Barack Obama shows who really runs the White House.
Former President Barack Obama reportedly expressed “deep concern” about former President Donald Trump’s “political strength” as the 2024 election season approaches.
The warning came as Obama reportedly had lunch with President Joe Biden in December and discussed Biden’s re-election campaign, according to Meet The Press moderator Kristen Welker on Sunday.

“Underscoring the urgency, one source telling me, ‘This is an all-hands-on-deck moment,’” Welker added.
Both Biden and Trump are pursuing a second term in the White House, and if they win their respective party’s primaries, they might face off in the general election in November.
Polls indicate Trump with a tiny advantage less than a month before the caucuses and primary races begin.
Biden is also dealing with low approval ratings and worries about his health to serve in his 80s.
In a poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, a full 77% said Biden is too old to be effective for four more years.
Not only do 89% of Republicans say that, so do 69% of Democrats.
That view is held across age groups, not just by young people, though older Democrats specifically are more supportive of his 2024 bid.
The Washington Post reported on Saturday that Obama not only became “animated” when discussing the 2024 election with Biden, but also suggested to Biden’s aides and advisers that the president’s re-election campaign should be given the authority to make decisions without seeking White House approval, whether current leaders are empowered or new decision-makers are added.
During an interview with Welker on NBC on Sunday, Biden’s deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks emphasized that Obama and Biden’s team are “united” in their opposition to Trump.
“We’re going to continue to do what we need to do in order to be competitive and in order to make sure we’re growing the infrastructure that we need to win,” Fulks said.
“President Obama and President Biden talk frequently, as do the campaign and former operatives from President Biden’s administration and his campaign.”
Fulks also said, “The president has been very clear that the experience he got as VP serving with President Obama has been critical to the experience that he brings to the job and what he’s been able to accomplish. But we’re united in the fact that we have to do everything we can to push back on Donald Trump and the threat that he poses to democracy.”
Of course, they round it off with the old “saving democracy” gambit.
When are they going to learn that only their radical base believes that slander?
