What happens in the 2024 election will be game-changing. That’s what makes this ruling so critical.
Because this Supreme Court decision has left Donald Trump stunned about what it means for his 2024 campaign for president.
The Left has been obsessed with their attempts to throw Donald Trump behind bars over a variety of bogus claims.
They say that he attempted to overturn the 2020 election by launching a planned invasion of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.
They claim that he paid millions of dollars in hush money to an adult film star, Stormy Daniels, during his 2016 presidential campaign.
Those things would be illegal if he conducted that criminal behavior. The only problem is that, well, to say there’s lacking evidence substantiating those allegations would be an understatement to say the least.
What Trump’s opponents are really trying to do is keep him far away from the White House in 2024. The best way to do that, of course, is to launch lawsuits and legal battles at him until he simply crushes under the weight of it all.
That would explain why these Leftist prosecutors have waited until now to really ramp up going after Trump with these criminal charges.
Well, the Supreme Court may be raining on the parade of Trump’s prosecutors and haters.
According to reports, the U.S. Supreme Court has decided that they will hear a case that involves a man who believes he is innocent of the charge of “obstruction of an official proceeding” on January 6, 2021.
The National Review:
The Supreme Court agreed on Wednesday to hear an appeal brought forth by a man charged in connection to the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, in a decision that is likely to have major consequences for the criminal prosecution of former president Donald Trump.
The Court will hear a case brought by defendant Joseph Fischer, an alleged January 6 rioter who is seeking to dismiss the charge of obstruction of an official proceeding.
The defendant being heard by the Supreme Court, Joseph Fischer, has been alleged to be one of the January 6 “insurrectionists” who apparently tried to help take over the nation.
So what does this have to do with Donald Trump? Well Donald Trump is facing the same charge.
Now he has a strong legal defense argument for his case to be delayed until after Fischer’s case is decided on by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Why would that be important? That would almost certainly mean that the ruling on Trump would come after the 2024 election takes place in November.
And should Donald Trump become the president-elect, then there’s nothing these Leftist prosecutors can do to stop him from heading back to the White House in January of 2025.
As it stands, it’s entirely possible for Trump to be convicted and handed a sentence before the 2024 election takes place.
But that dream of the radical Left seems to be slipping away faster than they can cope.
