Tim Walz gets exposed for a despicable lie that is sinking Kamala’s campaign

Many on the Left wish Kamala had chosen anyone else as a running mate. Now they’re being proved right.

Because Tim Walz gets exposed for a despicable lie that is sinking Kamala’s campaign.

In typical fashion, Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz has been caught exaggerating yet another chapter of his past, this time falsely claiming he was in Hong Kong during the infamous Tiananmen Square massacre of 1989.

In reality, local media reports place him far from the chaos and danger — in the safety of his home state of Nebraska.

Back in 2014, during a congressional hearing marking the 25th anniversary of the massacre, then-Rep. Walz spun an embellished story about being in Hong Kong as the pro-democracy protests in Beijing were violently crushed by Chinese tanks.

Walz told Congress, “I was just going to teach high school in Foshan [city], in Guangdong [province], and was in Hong Kong in May of ‘89.”

He even recalled dramatic scenes at the train station, saying, “several of us went in” despite the tensions and fear. But as it turns out, this account was far from accurate.

Walz’s tale has been debunked by his own hometown newspaper.

According to the Chadron Record, Walz was still in Nebraska in April 1989 and wasn’t scheduled to leave for China until August — well after the massacre had taken place.

This blatant discrepancy, first pointed out by Minnesota Public Radio, is yet another example of Walz playing fast and loose with the facts to puff up his resume.

Walz has built a reputation for stretching the truth. His campaign even admitted that his previous boast of having made 30 trips to China was a gross exaggeration, reducing the real number to “closer to 15.”

Yet, Walz’s flair for fiction hasn’t stopped media outlets like The New York Times from repeating his false claims.

Just last month, the Times printed that Walz was “just across the Chinese border” during the Tiananmen Square massacre, parroting his fabricated story.

This isn’t the first time Walz has been caught exaggerating his experiences.

From misrepresenting his military service to inflating his involvement in international events, Walz repeatedly twists the facts to paint himself in a more heroic light.

His excuse? He’s chalked it up to his “passion” and even blamed poor “grammar” for the mix-ups. But when it comes to the truth, these excuses simply don’t hold water.

Even the Harris-Walz campaign has been forced to clean up after Walz’s misleading claims.

Last month, they backtracked when Walz made questionable comments about “weapons of war” he supposedly carried in battle, prompting accusations of stolen valor. As usual, the campaign brushed it off as Walz having “misspoken.”

With each new exaggeration, Walz’s credibility continues to erode, and it’s no surprise the Harris-Walz team has been evasive, offering no response to these latest revelations.
