Harris has the support of the nation’s elite. They’re doing all they can to push her across the finish line.
And a top billionaire was caught in a secret plot to help Kamala Harris win the election.
In a recent report, it’s been revealed that Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates secretly donated approximately $50 million to Future Forward USA Action, a group backing Vice President Kamala Harris.
Despite the sizable contribution, Gates has chosen not to make a public endorsement of Harris, according to information shared by The New York Times.
Gates’ donation was not meant to be public knowledge, but his reasoning for supporting candidates was made clear.
“I support candidates who demonstrate a clear commitment to improving health care, reducing poverty and fighting climate change in the US and around the world,” Gates told the publication. He did not address the specific donation but highlighted his broader goals.
The billionaire philanthropist elaborated on the importance of the upcoming election, stating, “I have a long history of working with leaders across the political spectrum, but this election is different, with unprecedented significance for Americans and the most vulnerable people around the world.”
This sentiment aligns with Gates’ reported concerns about the possibility of former President Donald Trump defeating Harris in the 2024 election.
Gates, 68, has expressed private concerns about the potential return of Trump to the White House, fearing that it could lead to cuts in crucial areas like family planning and global health programs — key focuses of his charitable foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
While he has praised the current administration’s efforts on climate change, Gates is not especially close to Harris, 60, according to the report.
Interestingly, Gates has not been quiet about his donation within his circle. He has openly discussed the contribution with close contacts, including former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg.
Bloomberg, 82, who also supports Harris, reportedly contributed $20 million to Future Forward earlier in the year when President Biden was still running for reelection.
Future Forward USA Action, a group that doesn’t disclose its donors, has become a major player in Harris’ campaign, with Gates being just one of the many high-profile figures providing financial support.
According to Forbes, Gates — who has an estimated net worth of $162 billion — is one of 81 billionaires supporting Harris’ bid for the presidency.
In contrast, former President Trump has the backing of 50 billionaires in his campaign for a second term, most notably Elon Musk.
But despite Harris having the backing of so many billionaires, she’s still lagging behind Trump in many of the battleground state polls.
This just goes to show how poor of a candidate she really is.
Harris and the Democrats have outspent the Trump campaign by a wide margin, but it doesn’t seem to be making a difference in the polls.
But the true test will be on Election Day when Americans go to cast their ballots.
