Fani Willis thought she had Donald Trump in a corner. But now the tables have turned.
As America’s number one attorney just served Fani Willis a major reality check.
One finding from the latest Trump case hearings was “really damaging” for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, according to law professor Jonathan Turley of George Washington University, who made the comment on Thursday.
Willis appeared before an evidence hearing on Thursday to address claims that she took financial advantage of the litigation against former president Trump by appointing her lover Nathan Wade. Willis and Wade, according to Turley, were found to have lied in court records.
“What was really damaging here is the fact that both of these attorneys now stand credibly accused of filing false information with courts,” law professor Jonathan Turley shared with Sean Hannity on Fox News.
“That’s what they are prosecuting defendants in this case for. In the case of Mr. Wade, when they went through the interrogatories that he answered in the divorce case, most of us view those answers now as demonstrably false.”
In a court document dated February 2, Willis acknowledged being in a relationship with Wade in an answer to a request asking for her removal from the case. In a file forwarded on February 9, attorneys for Michael Roman, a co-defendant of Trump, stated that witnesses may disprove the pair’s assertions that they “did not have a personal, romantic relationship” prior to his appointment.
“What I saw today on that stand was embarrassing,” Turley stated.
“Both of these attorneys adopted bizarre semantic approaches to things that were clear. She said, ‘well, yes, I gave him a job but I don’t view him as an employee under ethics rules, I view him as an agent,’ and then she said, ‘yes, I probably did get a hundred dollars or more from him, but he probably gave me an equal or greater amount.’ Those are the types of finesse interpretations they would never accept as prosecutors.”
The accusations against Trump and others in the 13-count indictment that Willis obtained in August included conspiracies to produce false statements and writings.
“I direct your attention to how Wade explained his answers on the interrogatories,” Turley continued.
“The questions asked him if he had a s**ual relationship going into 2022, at any point in his marriage or separation, and he just said, ‘oh, I answered that and just assumed it only meant my marriage,’ and the lawyer was dumbfounded and said, ‘I just read you the question.’ So that’s the level of denial we saw today.”

Professor Turley also took to X (formerly Twitter) to explain how hypocritical Fani Willis and her lackeys appear right now given that there’s more and more evidence of how corrupt her DA office truly is.
Turley argues that Willis is looking more like “the man she is prosecuting” rather than someone upholding the rule of law.
At points, Willis looked strikingly like the man she is prosecuting. Like Trump, she defied calls from the court to confine her answers. She attacked her critics, including the media and opposing counsel. Unlike Trump, however, she got away with it. https://t.co/5PohBNzEqp

Professor Turley previously testified before Congress that there was more smoke behind the Biden fire for him to be impeached as compared to the reasons for which Donald Trump was impeached by the Democrats during his tenure.
