Biden official’s criminal past crops up and now they could lose their job

President Biden sure can pick his staff. They’re either criminals or diversity hires.

And now this Biden official’s criminal past cropped up and now they could lose their job.

Joe Biden has made it clear that he doesn’t care if those in his cabinet are qualified to the jobs they are tasked with.

We had Sam Brinton, the first “non-binary” appointee to any cabinet who turned out to be a literal thief who stole women’s clothing from airports.

There’s “Rachel” Levine, the transgender-identifying Assistant Secretary of Health who is more focused on ensuring access to puberty blockers for children than solving any major health crisis.

And now we’re finding out one of Biden’s appointees violently attacked her husband years ago.

According to court documents, records, and text messages, Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke was allegedly involved in a violent domestic quarrel prior to becoming one of the Justice Department’s top leaders — an episode that resulted in her arrest and was later erased.

Clarke denied being arrested or accused of committing a violent crime at her Senate confirmation hearing.

Clarke was nominated by President-elect Joe Biden on January 7, 2021, and confirmed by the United States Senate on May 25, 2021, to command the Department of Justice’s “crown jewel,” as former Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. termed the Civil Rights Division.

Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris praised Clarke as the first black woman to lead the Civil Rights Division, vowing that she would combat voter suppression and hate crimes “across the country.”

During her confirmation, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., asked then-nominee Clarke, “Since becoming a legal adult, have you ever been arrested for or accused of committing a violent crime against any person?”

“No,” she said, according to answers she gave under oath to “Questions for the Record” from U.S. senators.

Messages and recordings received and authenticated by The Daily Signal suggest that Clarke may have been less than forthright with this declaration.

Reginald Avery, Clarke’s ex-husband, told Tom Jones of the American Accountability Foundation in 2021 that Clarke attacked him with a knife on the night of July 4, 2006, while they were married and residing in Maryland.

According to communications and documents obtained by The Daily Signal, Clarke was arrested that night. She did not reply to calls for comments on that article by the news outlet.

Court records obtained by The Daily Signal show that a criminal case against Clarke was filed in the District Court of Maryland for Prince George’s County, but on Oct. 17, 2006, the Maryland state attorney filed a “nolle prosequi” request in the case, effectively dismissing the charge without a trial.

About a year and a half later, Clarke filed an “Order for Expungement of Police and Court Records” in the same case.

According to the document, the district court granted the injunction in January 2008.

These are the type of nut jobs Biden thinks we need more of. Give us a break.
