Black conservative gets hit with a disgusting racial attack

The Left likes to play the race card. But it only counts if you’re on their side.

Now a black conservative got hit with a disgusting racial attack.

Daniel Cameron Faces Unwarranted Attacks from Kentucky Newspaper

Kentucky’s trailblazing Republican Senate candidate Daniel Cameron, the state’s first Black statewide elected official, has come under fire from an opinion piece in the Courier Journal, the commonwealth’s largest newspaper, which resorted to inflammatory language accusing him of racial betrayal.

The article, penned by University of Louisville professor Ricky L. Jones, labeled Cameron as a “Black servant who betrayed his brothers” and likened him to the antagonistic character Stephen from Django Unchained. Despite such baseless smears, Cameron remains a steadfast advocate for conservative values, undeterred in his campaign to represent Kentucky in the Senate.

Jones, chair of the Department of Pan-African Studies at the university, titled his piece “Daniel Cameron is KY’s saddest Republican Senate candidate,” with a subheadline dubbing him “the polished corporate spokesman for anti-Black backlash politics.”

He claimed Cameron’s message is, “Don’t worry, I’ll protect the White status quo in Kentucky and beyond.” Describing Cameron as the “most shameful” and “saddest” among a “wretched band” of GOP candidates, Jones accused the former attorney general of harboring “a level of sneering anti-Black racial venom and self-hate that would make Samuel L. Jackson’s Stephen proud.”

He further portrayed Cameron as “the type of lost whitewashed soul that Harriet Tubman left behind because he has no desire to be free. He is a Black man who hates Black people and takes every opportunity to prove it to his masters. He should be ashamed, but doesn’t have sufficient conscience, self-awareness or self-love to feel so.”

Cameron Stands Firm Against Leftist Vitriol

In the face of these vicious personal attacks, Cameron highlighted the radical left’s intolerance for Black conservatives who think independently.

Responding to the Daily Caller, he stated, “There is a special type of hatred the radical left has for Republicans that look like me, and here you have it on full display. I don’t fit in their neat little box of oppression and so for years, they’ve called me every name in the book — tried to define me, shame me, and silence me — all because I support President Trump and conservative values.”

Cameron, a frequent ally of the MAGA movement and a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, added, “The reality is simple. My mind is my own, and I don’t need permission from anyone to speak freely or think for myself. I will never apologize for not sharing the belief set of radical Marxists just because of how I look.”

His opposition to DEI initiatives and endorsement by Trump underscore his commitment to principles over identity politics, earning him respect among conservatives who value merit and freedom.

University and Newspaper Distance Themselves Amid Backlash

The University of Louisville, where Jones teaches, clarified that his views do not reflect the institution’s stance.

A spokesperson told the Daily Caller, “Dr. Jones is not a spokesman for the University of Louisville, and his comments do not represent the university’s views. UofL does not censor the opinions of its faculty, staff or students and does not monitor what Dr. Jones says in his capacity as a private citizen.”

The Courier Journal, which boasts the highest circulation in Kentucky, did not respond to requests for comment on the controversial op-ed. This incident shines a light on the challenges Cameron navigates as a principled Black Republican, rising above divisive rhetoric to focus on delivering results for Kentuckians.
