Tucker Carlson has been a trusted voice within the conservative movement for years.
His prime time show easily garnered some of the highest ratings Fox News has ever seen.
Over the years, Tucker has broken some of the most shocking and revealing stories about corruption within the radical Left.
Most recently, he aired footage showing Capitol police escorting protesters through the Capitol on January 6th – running contrary to the Democrat party line of a “violent insurrection.”
But it looks like Carlson’s days at Fox News are over.
Tucker Carlson, Fox News Channel’s most popular prime-time host, has departed the cable news network.
“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” Fox News said in statement.
“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”
According to the network, Carlson has already hosted his final episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st” the statement continued.
Starting Monday evening, Fox will carry a new program dubbed “Fox News Tonight” at 8 p.m. as an interim show hosted by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is found.
Carlson was Fox’s top-rated prime-time host, averaging more than 3 million viewers per night, the highest of any cable pundit.
The sudden and brief statement from Fox News came days after Fox News’ parent company settled Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit for $787.5 million.
It’s too early to tell if there is foul play involved here or if it’s just a matter of contract disagreements.
Tucker’s departure comes fresh on the heels of Dan Bongino’s split with the company as well.
The network said in a statement on last Thursday, “we thank Dan for his contributions and wish him success in his future endeavors.”
It looks like Fox could be cleaning house – kicking out the conservatives for more moderate media mouth pieces.
