Dan Bongino confesses the sad reason he may submit his resignation

Bongino has been a staple of conservatism. But he’s not happy with the Trump admin.

Now Dan Bongino confessed the sad reason he may submit his resignation.

DOJ and FBI Clash Over Epstein Investigation

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino and Attorney General Pam Bondi clashed this week over the Trump administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, particularly regarding a rumored “client list.”

A source told the New York Post that Bongino took a personal day on Friday and is considering resigning after less than four months, stating, “I don’t think Dan comes back if Pam stays.”

The dispute arose after Bondi’s February Fox News comment that Epstein’s files, including a “client list,” were “on my desk to be reviewed,” later clarified as referring to broader case files. Both officials stated an internal review found no significant new evidence about Epstein’s death or associates.

DOJ Concludes Epstein Died by Su*cide

The Justice Department’s Monday memo concluded that Epstein died by su*cide on August 10, 2019, at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, impacting “over one thousand victims.” It stated, “There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions,” and confirmed no “incriminating ‘client list’” existed.

The DOJ released flight logs and contact lists, previously public from Ghislaine Maxwell’s 2021 trial, to influencers in binders labeled “The Epstein Files: Phase 1.” President Trump, who banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago in 2007, pledged during his 2024 campaign to release all Epstein files, saying he was “not involved” and “never went to his island.”

Bondi Addresses Surveillance and Intelligence Claims

Bondi addressed a missing minute in 10-hour surveillance footage, stating, “What we learned from the Bureau of Prisons was, every year, every night, they redo that video. It’s old, from like 1999, so every night the video is reset, and every night should have the same minute missing.”

On speculation that Epstein was an intelligence asset, tied to his 2008 plea deal, Bondi said, “To him being an [intelligence] agent, I have no knowledge about that. We can get back to you on that.”

Bongino echoed in June on Fox News that evidence indicated su*cide, noting, “We do have video. It’s not the greatest video in the world.”

Internal Tensions Surface in Trump Administration

The public disagreement between Bongino and Bondi followed the DOJ’s release of a memo finding no grounds to investigate uncharged third parties.

Bondi’s earlier suggestion of a “client list” drew attention, though she clarified it referred to the broader Epstein file. The administration’s transparency efforts, including sharing records with influencers, faced criticism for lacking new details.

The source indicated Bongino’s relationship with Bondi is strained, with his potential resignation highlighting challenges within the Trump administration as it addresses the Epstein case.
