The Left doesn’t have the country’s best interests at heart. Instead, they are tearing it down.
Now Democrats exposed themselves by admitting they hate America.
Undermining Border Security Heroes
President Donald Trump sharply criticized Democratic Senators Alex Padilla and Cory Booker on Wednesday, accusing them of hating America for proposing a bill that endangers immigration agents by requiring legible identification and banning face coverings except medical masks.
Speaking during a meeting with African leaders, Trump declared, “They wouldn’t be saying that if they didn’t hate our country, and they obviously do.”
The bill, introduced by Padilla and Booker, mandates that Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents display clear agency IDs, names, and badge numbers while prohibiting masks like ski masks.
Trump warned that such measures expose “great patriots” to harm, noting a 700% surge in assaults against ICE officers since he took office, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security.
Democrats’ Dangerous Overreach
The President defended the agents’ use of masks, explaining they prevent doxing that threatens officers and their families.
“These officers are doing a tremendous job. They’re great patriots,” Trump said, contrasting Democratic criticism of masked ICE agents with their silence on masked anti-Israel protesters at universities.
“When a patriot who works for ICE or border patrol puts a mask on so that they won’t recognize him and his family so they can lead a little bit of a normal life after working so hard and so dangerously, there’s a problem with that,” he added.
Trump accused Democrats, including Rep. Grace Meng and Sens. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, who echoed similar demands, of having “lost their confidence … and become somewhat deranged,” prioritizing political stances over the safety of those securing the border.
Rejecting Fearmongering Tactics
Sen. Padilla claimed that allowing agents to wear masks and lack visible IDs “only escalates tensions and spreads fear while shielding federal agents from basic accountability.”
However, Trump’s remarks highlight a disconnect, suggesting Democrats’ proposals undermine the dangerous work of immigration agents while ignoring the real threats they face.
“If you expose them because of statements that have been made by Democrats and others … you put them in great danger, tremendous danger,” he emphasized.
By pushing policies that jeopardize the safety and anonymity of ICE and Border Patrol agents, Democrats risk weakening national security efforts, favoring inflammatory rhetoric over the practical needs of those tasked with protecting America’s borders.
