Joe Biden is not getting any younger as he seeks a 2024 re-election. But it’s not him facing a health crisis.
Now devastating and sad First Lady health news has finally been confirmed.
Joe Biden made history last year when he turned 80 years old and become the first sitting U.S. President to be in the Oval Office in their eighties.
He’ll be turning 82 just days after the 2024 election in November of that year, giving many Americans concern that he could continue in the role of the most important office in the United States.
But the latest tragic health news concerning the White House isn’t about Joe Biden, but an instead a former First Lady.
The former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter, has been confirmed to have dementia at the age of 95 according to the Carter Center.
The Carter Center put out a statement confirming the sad news that some rumors from outlets have been suspecting for some months now.
“The Carter family is sharing that former First Lady Rosalynn Carter has dementia. She continues to live happily at home with her husband, enjoying spring in Plains and visits with loved ones,” the statement from the Carter Center begins.

Their statement continued on giving Mrs. Carter credit for being a “leading” advocate for mental health in America.
“Mrs. Carter has been the nation’s leading mental health advocate for much of her life. First in the Georgia Governor’s Mansion, then in the White House, and later at The Carter Center, she urged improved access to care and decreased stigma about issues surrounding mental health,” the statement continues.
Rosalynn Carter also started an organization 35 years ago called the “Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregivers” that is designed to help caregivers of all sorts in their positions.
Mrs. Carter is quoted on the website as once saying that there are “only four kinds of people in the world––those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.”
Jimmy Carter at the age of 98 is also facing a number of health issues and they sound to be pretty bad based on the statements that the Carter Center have shared.
They have said of Jimmy Carter that he has opted to be “at home with his family and receive hospice care instead of additional medical intervention.”
That definitely sounds like he could pass any day now, which is supremely sad.
Americans will hear this news and surely grow more concerned about Joe Biden who is only about 15 years younger than Rosalynn Carter.
Jimmy Carter was staggeringly young when he was President at the age of 52 years old when he became President in January of 1977.
Joe Biden would be starting his second term a full 30 years older than Jimmy Carter was when he served his one term in 1977-1981.
Though, our hearts go out to the Carter family and hope that the couple find peace in their final years.
