Don Lemon has been out at CNN for a while now. Unfortunately, he’s still spewing his ridiculous viewpoints for all to hear.
And Don Lemon collapsed in embarrassment during this chaotic interview.
In a no-holds-barred TV showdown, Piers Morgan didn’t mince words when he tore into former CNN golden boy Don Lemon, calling him out for acting like a total jerk during their heated debate. The clash erupted when Morgan dared to bring up Lemon’s messy exit from CNN back in 2023, and Lemon lost his cool faster than a liberal spotting a Trump hat.
Lemon showed up on Morgan’s show supposedly to chat about free speech in the wake of the attempted hit on conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk. But things went south quick when Morgan linked it to Lemon’s own drama, pulling up that infamous clip where Lemon got reamed for claiming Nikki Haley wasn’t “in her prime” during her GOP run.
The ex-CNN anchor flipped his lid, whining that he only agreed to the interview to talk freedom of speech related to Kirk’s assassination—not to relive his own firing fiasco. He acted like Morgan had ambushed him with some gotcha moment, even though the topic flowed naturally from the conversation.
Morgan wasn’t having any of it. He laid it out straight: “Let’s just be crystal clear about what’s just happened. You brought up the subject of cancel culture.”
Then he hammered home the point: “I asked you, ‘Did you feel your departure from CNN was an example of that?’ and you answered the question.” That’s why the clip rolled—it was right on target, showing how the left’s own rules bite them back sometimes.
The argument escalated into a full-on yell-fest, with both men talking over each other. Finally, Morgan dropped the hammer: “What are you talking about?! I think you’re being a complete d–k, if I’m honest with you.”
Lemon fired back with sarcasm dripping like venom: “OK, well that’s very kind and respectful of you.” He tried to play the victim card, as if he hadn’t just thrown a tantrum on live TV.
Not one to back down, Lemon then slammed Morgan as not “a respectful journalist and host.” But Morgan shot right back, refusing to let that slide: “I don’t think I’ll take lectures on being a respectful journalist from you, Don. I won’t!”
Morgan kept pressing, baffled by the meltdown: “I don’t know why you’ve gone on this weird rant. I don’t understand any of it. Why have you done this weird reaction?”
Lemon doubled down, insisting that controversial 2023 soundbite “had nothing to do with me leaving CNN.” He griped that folks like Morgan twisted his words “out of context”, painting himself as the real casualty in all this.
This blow-up isn’t Lemon’s first rodeo with public humiliation lately. Just a couple weeks back, he got schooled by a random guy on the streets of New York while shooting for his podcast. The encounter turned ugly in seconds.
The passerby didn’t waste time: “You’re a f–king moron, dude,” he said, shutting Lemon down right after the intro. No filter, no fear—just straight talk from someone fed up with media elites.
The heckler blasted CNN and MSNBC as “full of s–t,” accusing them of peddling lies about “genocide” in Gaza and “all wars.” It’s the kind of raw frustration bubbling up from everyday Americans tired of the spin.
When Lemon tried to question the guy’s manners—asking why he’d just walk up and hurl insults—the response was pure gold: “Because it just comes out, man. Because you’re big and think you’re something.”
Episodes like these expose the chasm between smug network stars and the real world they claim to represent.
Lemon’s outbursts highlight how the establishment media crumbles when poked, especially on hot-button issues like cancel culture and free expression that hit too close to home.
