Donald Trump discovered who was meddling in the election in Joe Biden’s favor

The truth is finally coming out now that the dust has settled. It’s worse than anyone thought.

Because Donald Trump just discovered who was meddling in the election in favor of Joe Biden.

Ex-Politico Reporters Accuse Outlet of Suppressing Negative Biden Stories

Former Journalists Claim Stories About Joe and Hunter Biden Were Stifled During 2020 Campaign:

Two former Politico reporters made serious allegations against their former employer Thursday, accusing the outlet of suppressing unfavorable stories about then-presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, during the 2020 election cycle. The allegations came in a video posted on YouTube featuring Puck News reporter Tara Palmeri and Axios reporter Marc Caputo discussing their experiences in the newsroom.

One of the key allegations came from Caputo, who recalled Politico’s handling of the infamous Hunter Biden laptop story. The laptop, which was reportedly abandoned by Hunter Biden in 2019, contained emails that raised questions about the Biden family’s business dealings. A bombshell October 2020 report by the New York Post detailed the contents of the laptop, but former intelligence officials dismissed it, claiming the report showed “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

Caputo argued that Politico’s coverage of the story, which echoed these claims of disinformation, was misleading. “Turns out that story was closer to disinformation because the Hunter Biden laptop appeared to be true,” he said. Palmeri also chimed in, recalling how Facebook and Twitter took down stories about the laptop around the same time, with Twitter even locking accounts, including that of the New York Post and White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, under its “hacked materials” policy.

Hunter Biden’s Gun Purchase Fraud Stifled

Palmeri, who worked at Politico during the 2020 election, also described her struggle to get a critical story about Hunter Biden’s purchase of a .38-caliber revolver in 2018 published. Despite her investigation leading to Hunter Biden’s conviction on felony charges related to the purchase in June 2024, Palmeri said the story was delayed. “It had to be 100% nailed down,” she said of the lengthy reporting process, suggesting that the timing of the story, coinciding with the early days of Joe Biden’s presidency, may have played a role in its slow release.

Caputo, who also worked for Politico, recounted a separate instance where a story about Hunter Biden’s tax issues was k*lled by the outlet’s editors. He explained that in 2019, a rival Democratic campaign had provided him with a tax lien on Hunter Biden related to his work with the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Caputo described the story as a potentially explosive piece of investigative journalism, but said it was “k*lled by the editors” without explanation.

In response to the allegations, Politico strongly disputed the former reporters’ claims. A spokesperson for the outlet pointed to its extensive coverage of the Biden family’s business dealings, emphasizing that Politico’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop and other matters was thorough and nuanced. “During the years referenced, POLITICO journalists lead the way on wide-ranging reporting on the business dealings of Joe Biden’s closest relatives,” the spokesperson said. The outlet also noted that Politico was the first to confirm the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop and to report on the gun incident.

The spokesperson pointed to journalist Ben Schreckinger’s work as leading the coverage on the Biden family’s affairs, even going so far as to write a book on the topic.

Politico Defends Its Decisions To Ignore Negative Biden Family Stories

While Politico maintains its commitment to investigative journalism, the exchange between Palmeri and Caputo demonstrated the tensions between reporters and editors in the newsroom. Caputo reflected on the decisions made by Politico’s higher-ups, calling them “cowardly” and suggesting that editorial choices were driven by external pressures. Palmeri, for her part, emphasized the challenges faced by reporters when covering politically sensitive stories.

Critics of Politico and similar outlets on the Hill argue that there would be no such hesitation in publishing these negatives stories if they were about Donald Trump and his family as opposed to Joe Biden. Donald Trump’s allies say that there is a very clear bias in the way the D.C. establishment wants to protect its own, and Joe Biden’s family is certainly D.C.’s “own.”

This news only further confirms fears that there were coordinated efforts between media outlets, Big Tech social media platforms, and the federal government itself to hide the Hunter Biden laptop story as much as possible ahead of the 2020 election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump that Biden ultimately won.

The New York Post, who originally broke the story on Hunter Biden and his laptop back in the fall of 2020, shared proof that platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and many other social platforms were literally banning the New York Post story from being shared on their platforms. The defense for this decision was that there were “dozens” of intel “experts” who signed on to a letter alleging that the Hunter Biden laptop was “Russian disinformation.”

Of course, now everyone knows that the Hunter Biden laptop was very real, even if the most hardened Democrats shrink away from having to confess that reality. The media and political establishment says that they were just “listening to the experts” when they hesitated on giving the story credibility, but more and more continues to come out proving that they were clearly just trying to keep Joe Biden’s ticket alive ahead of the November 2020 elections.
