These are disturbing times for the world. Trump knows America needs to be prepared.
And Donald Trump gave the Pentagon a nuclear order that will change everything for the U.S.
President Donald Trump is taking bold action to keep America strong and ahead in the face of rising threats from Russia and China. On Wednesday, he declared that the U.S. military will kick off nuclear weapons testing right away, marking the first such move in over three decades. This decision comes as U.S. adversaries ramp up their own dangerous arsenals, and Trump isn’t about to let America fall behind.
“Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. He’s making it clear that the U.S. won’t sit idle while others build up their stockpiles unchecked.
“That process will begin immediately,” Trum said, showing his no-nonsense approach to national security.
For those who forgot, the United States hasn’t conducted a nuclear explosive test since 1992, sticking to a self-imposed ban. But back in the day, from 1945 to that year, our military ran more than 1,000 of these tests, proving American dominance and technological edge.
Russia and China claim they haven’t done any public nuclear tests since the 1990s, but China’s been sneaking in some low-yield secret experiments lately.
Over in Moscow, Vladimir Putin keeps teasing the idea of restarting full-blown nuclear explosion tests. He’s been bragging about his latest gadgets, like missiles and torpedoes that could carry nukes straight to the United States’s doorstep.
Take Russia’s Poseidon nuclear torpedo—state media there says it’s built to unleash radioactive tsunamis towering up to 1,600 feet, all from hundreds of miles offshore.
Then there’s the Burevestnik cruise missile, powered by nuclear energy, which they’ve hyped as a “tiny flying Chernobyl” and “invincible.”
Sure, in their recent drills, the Russians didn’t actually detonate any warheads—they just tested the launch systems. But that’s cold comfort when you know they’re gearing up for worse.
“The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country,” Trump stated. “This was accomplished, including a complete update and renovation of existing weapons, during my First Term in office.”
“Because of the tremendous destructive power, I HATED to do it, but had no choice! Russia is second, and China is a distant third, but will be even within 5 years,” he said.
During his 2024 campaign, Trump often called nuclear weapons “the N-word,” emphasizing just how catastrophic they are.
He credits his late uncle, MIT professor John Trump, for schooling him early on that “nuclear is so powerful.”
This big announcement dropped just before Trump’s crucial sit-down with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea on Thursday. It’s a power move, letting Xi know the U.S. means business.
As the two leaders headed into their talks, a reporter shouted a question about the testing plans, but Trump stayed focused and didn’t respond.
Of course, the usual suspects are already whining. Daryl Kimball from the Arms Control Association in Washington called Trump “misinformed and out of touch.” These so-called experts always criticize without offering real solutions.
“The U.S. has no technical, military, or political reason to resume nuclear explosive testing for the first time since 1992,” Kimball said in a post on X. He claims it would take at least 36 months to get underground tests going again in Nevada.
Kimball points out that “No country except North Korea has conducted a nuclear test explosion in this century.”
“By foolishly announcing his intention [to] resume nuclear testing, Trump will trigger strong public opposition in Nevada, from all U.S. allies, and it could trigger a chain reaction of nuclear testing by U.S. adversaries, and blow apart the nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty,” Kimball continued.
But real patriots know Trump’s doing what’s necessary to deter aggression and protect American’s way of life. This isn’t about starting arms races—it’s about winning them before they escalate.
