Trump is playing 4d chess with the Democrats. He’s always several steps ahead.
And now Trump’s twisting the knife in Joe Biden’s campaign with a huge RNC update.
Former President Donald Trump continues his strategic maneuvers against the Democrats, delivering a significant blow to Joe Biden’s campaign with a pivotal announcement from the Republican National Convention (RNC).
In a move that underscores his calculated political strategy, Trump has invited the family of Rachel Morin, a Maryland mother of five who was allegedly r*ped and m*rdered by an illegal immigrant, to attend the upcoming RNC. This announcement, highlighted by the Baltimore Sun, brings a poignant and politically charged narrative to the forefront of the convention.
Rachel Morin’s family, including her half-sister Erin Layman, her two youngest children, three brothers, and other relatives, will attend the 2024 RNC in Milwaukee next week. Erin Layman is set to speak on Tuesday night about Rachel and the immigration enforcement policies that connect to her tragic death.
“This is a huge honor because I want to make an impact in Rachel’s name,” Layman expressed to the Baltimore Sun. “I want to give Rachel the proper honor in all of this and for people to know our story and see our family together.”
Rachel Morin’s death captured national attention when her alleged k*ller, Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, a Salvadoran national living in the U.S. illegally, was arrested. Martinez-Hernandez, wanted for another m*rder in his home country, allegedly k*lled Morin along a hiking trail in August 2023. His apprehension in June brought a renewed focus on immigration enforcement.
Rachel Morin would be alive today if not for Biden's open border policies.

This isn’t the first time Trump has reached out to Morin’s family. Last month, Rachel Morin’s mother, Patty Morin, shared that she was “deeply touched” by Trump’s call offering his condolences, which she said brought comfort during a very difficult time.
The Morin family is leveraging the attention to advocate for change, aiming to prevent similar tragedies. Josh Morin, Rachel’s brother, emphasized the political nature of their cause, saying, “There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Rachels all over America, so we have to do our part to hopefully make change. This is 100% political because it was politics that created this problem, and it is politics that are going to fix it.”
Trump has a history of featuring “angel” families — those whose members have been k*lled by illegal immigrants — on the campaign trail. He prominently featured Laken Riley’s family at a Georgia campaign event in March, shortly after she was allegedly k*lled by an illegal immigrant. Before a debate with President Joe Biden last month, Trump called the mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old allegedly s*xually assaulted and k*lled by two illegal immigrants.
During his presidency, Trump consistently gave a platform to families affected by illegal immigrant crime. At a National Border Patrol Council event in February 2020, he allowed Daria Ortiz, the granddaughter of a 92-year-old woman r*ped and m*rdered by an illegal immigrant in New York City, to share her story.
Trump’s campaign continues to spotlight the issue of illegal immigration. “Joe Biden has opened our southern border to roughly 20 million illegal immigrants, including hundreds of terror suspects and violent criminals who have wreaked havoc on communities across the country,” said Trump campaign senior advisor Danielle Alvarez to the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“We are honored that Rachel Morin’s loved ones will address the nation at our Republican National Convention and give Rachel’s story the respect and attention it deserves,” Alvarez continued. “It shows all Americans why we need President Trump to secure our border, deport illegal immigrants who commit crimes against innocent citizens, and make America safe again.”
As the RNC approaches, Trump’s strategic inclusion of the Morin family not only highlights the immigration debate but also strengthens his campaign’s narrative, placing additional pressure on Joe Biden and his administration’s policies.
Hitting Joe Biden Where It Hurts: Immigration
Many Americans agree that immigration is probably the most urgent and terrible crisis facing the nation, but it’s also one that the Biden administration has been polling most poorly on over the past couple of years. More bad press is just putting salt on the wounds.
That’s exactly what Donald Trump is trying to do. He wants to continue to make the optics look as bad as possible for Joe Biden and his Democrat allies leading up to the elections this November. Not only that, but Donald Trump probably legitimately cares about the family who has suffered this tragedy.
The Left almost never does anything to show that they actually care about the people they pander to. It’s all about a pony show thing for them. Whereas you’ll actually hear Donald Trump go out of his way to help these people behind the scenes.
