The mainstream media thought they got one over on Trump. They couldn’t be more wrong.
Now Donald Trump paraded an ABC reporter around for complete humiliation.
Trump’s Fiery Exchange with ABC’s Terry Moran
In a heated sit-down, President Donald Trump clashed with ABC News journalist Terry Moran, unleashing sharp critiques of the reporter’s questions and the media at large.
The interview, centered on Trump’s foreign policy and his administration’s milestones, showcased the president’s combative style as he deflected tough queries with personal jabs and accusations of bias.
Trump’s frustration boiled over when discussing the deportation of illegal immigrant Kilmar Campos Garcia.
“They’re giving you the big break of a lifetime,” Trump told Moran. “You’re doing the interview, I picked you because, frankly, I never heard of you, but that’s okay. I picked you, Terry, but you’re not being very nice.”
The exchange set the tone for a contentious back-and-forth, with Trump repeatedly challenging Moran’s line of questioning.
Trust Issues and Putin Questions
The conversation took a tense turn when Moran pressed Trump on his relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, asking if he trusted the Kremlin leader. Trump’s response was blunt and personal. “I don’t trust you. I don’t trust a lot of people,” he told Moran.
“I don’t trust you. Look at you. You’re so happy to do the interview, and then you start hitting me with these fake questions.”
The president’s deflection emphasized his deep skepticism of the press, a recurring theme throughout the interview.
Trump also seized the opportunity to lambast his predecessor, former President Joe Biden. “We had a president that was grossly incompetent,” Trump said.
“You knew it. I knew it. Everybody knew it. You guys didn’t want to write about it because you’re fake news.” He didn’t hold back on ABC specifically, adding, “By the way, ABC is one of the worst, I have to be honest with you.”
Escalating Media Feud
The Trump administration has doubled down on its adversarial stance toward the press, surpassing even the combative tone of his first term. In a bold press release, the White House declared, “Since President Donald J. Trump took office 100 days ago, it has been a nonstop deluge of hoaxes and lies from Democrats and their allies in the Fake News suffering from terminal cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
The statement listed 57 alleged “hoaxes” propagated by critics, the media, and Democrats, signaling an aggressive campaign to reshape the narrative around Trump’s leadership.
As Trump’s second term unfolds, his confrontational approach to media scrutiny continues to define his administration’s public strategy, with outlets like ABC firmly in his crosshairs.
