And if anyone betrays that trust and spills the beans on their radical agenda, they are anathema for life.
Well, one woman doesn’t seem to care anymore.
Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said in a new interview that members of the Democratic Party are “trying to be God” by becoming arbiters of truth, warning that this mentality is similar to dictatorships.
Gabbard was talking about her new book, For Love of Country, and how she claims in one chapter that the Democratic Party is hostile to religious people and that Democratic elites want to eliminate religion entirely.
Gabbard, who left the Democratic Party in 2022, was then questioned if she thought her old party was on “the side of evil,” to which she agreed, noting how those in power “put themselves in the position of being the ultimate authority.”
“They see themselves as the ones who should be the arbiter of who gets to speak, and who does not get to speak,” Gabbard said to Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody.
“They see themselves as the arbiter of objective truth, that they are the ones who can say, ‘no, David, if you believe that you are a woman, then you can be a woman.”

Gabbard also stated that the Democratic Party’s denial of objective fact has had a significant impact on women and girls, citing the Biden administration’s recent changes to Title IX.
According to Gabbard, the denial of objective reality by those in positions of power eliminates guardrails in society, allowing the truth to become anything they want, “putting themselves in that position of trying to be God.”
“They believe they should be able to control us in every aspect of our lives,” Gabbard stated.
“They believe that they have the authority and the right to take away God-given, truly God-given rights and freedoms that are enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights. You can see in dictators in different countries and throughout history how dangerous that mindset is and the evil that comes from that.”
Gabbard’s book, in which she explains why she left the Democratic Party, was released on April 30 and is currently Amazon’s top seller for books about U.S. national government.
Gabbard is said to be on former President Donald Trump’s short list of vice presidential candidates, a post she has stated she would gladly take to “serve my country” if offered.
In a recent interview, Gabbard stated that she has no doubts about Trump’s loyalty to the United States, citing his candidacy for president despite his numerous legal battles.
Gabbard stated that if she becomes Trump’s vice president, her commitment will always be to the United States, not to a single political party.
