Hillary Clinton just made a total fool of herself

The Clintons are in trouble. And now they want a spectacle.

But now Hillary Clinton just made a total fool of herself.

Clintons Yield to Testimony After Defying Subpoenas

The House Oversight Committee, under Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), has been probing the crimes associated with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, seeking answers for the public and survivors.

For six months, the Clintons delayed and defied duly issued subpoenas, prompting the committee to advance contempt of Congress resolutions late last month.

All Republicans, joined by nine Democrats, voted to advance the resolution against Bill Clinton to a full House vote, while three Democrats supported moving forward on Hillary Clinton’s.

A successful contempt vote could have referred both to the Department of Justice for potential criminal prosecution. Only after the threat became imminent did the Clintons agree to testify in closed-door, transcribed, and filmed interviews—Hillary on February 26 and Bill on February 27.

Comer highlighted the bipartisan stance, stating: “Republicans and Democrats on the Oversight Committee have been clear: no one is above the law — and that includes the Clintons. After delaying and defying duly issued subpoenas for six months, the House Oversight Committee moved swiftly to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings in response to their non-compliance. Once it became clear that the House of Representatives would hold them in contempt, the Clintons completely caved and will appear for transcribed, filmed depositions this month. We look forward to questioning the Clintons as part of our investigation into the horrific crimes of Epstein and Maxwell, to deliver transparency and accountability for the American people and for survivors.”

Hillary Clinton’s Social Media Push for Open Hearing

On Thursday, Hillary Clinton took to X to challenge Comer directly, accusing Republicans of ignoring prior sworn testimony, shifting goals, and prioritizing distraction over accountability. She urged a shift to a public format for greater transparency.

Her full post read: “For six months, we engaged [Republicans on the Oversight Committee] in good faith. We told them what we know, under oath. They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction. So let’s stop the games. If you want this fight, Rep. James Comer, let’s have it—in public. You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on. We will be there.”

Broader Scrutiny and Calls for Accountability

The push for testimony stems from longstanding questions about the Clintons’ associations with Epstein, with Democrats expressing surprise at the need for their involvement, according to Comer.

As the investigation presses on, this latest development raises questions about whether the Clintons’ sudden embrace of publicity is genuine transparency or a tactic to mitigate fallout from their earlier non-compliance, potentially complicating the committee’s efforts to uncover the full truth.
