Huge late night host gets canned for this deranged anti-conservative rant

The Left is starting to get a taste of its own medicine. Cancel culture doesn’t feel so great to them now.

Because a huge late night host got canned for this deranged anti-conservative rant.

Local Broadcasters Suspend Jimmy Kimmel’s Show

ABC affiliates owned by Nexstar and Sinclair, two major broadcast groups, announced the indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! due to controversial remarks by host Jimmy Kimmel about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on September 10. Kimmel, during his Monday monologue, claimed Kirk’s suspected k*ller, Tyler Robinson, was part of the “MAGA gang,” despite authorities stating Robinson held a “leftist ideology.”

Nexstar President Andrew Alford called Kimmel’s comments “offensive and insensitive,” arguing they do not reflect the values of their communities and are not in the public interest.

Sinclair Vice Chairman Jason Smith echoed this, stating, “Mr. Kimmel’s remarks were inappropriate and deeply insensitive at a critical moment for our country.” FCC Chairman Brendan Carr, speaking on Fox News with Sean Hannity, described the broadcasters’ actions as “unprecedented,” praising them for standing up to Disney and ABC, which air Kimmel’s show.

Carr suggested Kimmel’s remarks constitute “news distortion,” potentially violating FCC public interest obligations, and hinted at further regulatory action if networks do not address the issue.

Egregious Nature of Kimmel’s Comments

Kimmel’s assertion that Kirk’s assassin was part of the “MAGA gang” was grossly irresponsible, as it directly contradicted the Utah County District Attorney’s report that Robinson was radicalized by far-left ideology, evidenced by his confession and bullet casings inscribed with anti-fascist slogans like “hey fascist! CATCH!” By misrepresenting the k*ller’s motives, Kimmel spread misinformation about a high-profile tragedy, falsely linking it to a political group he frequently criticizes.

His mockery of President Trump’s response to Kirk’s death as “how a 4-year-old mourns a goldfish” and accusation that Trump was “fanning the flames” of violence further trivialized the assassination, which left Kirk’s family and 3,000 event attendees traumatized.

These remarks, delivered on a national platform, were not only factually inaccurate but also callously dismissive of the pain caused by Kirk’s m*rder, inflaming divisions at a time when unity was needed.

Kimmel’s apology, absent from the record, and his history of targeting conservatives with provocative humor amplify the harm of his statements, undermining public trust in media accuracy.

Wrong Timing for Kimmel’s Risky Remarks

Kimmel’s decision to make inflammatory comments so soon after Kirk’s assassination—less than a week later—was particularly ill-timed, given the raw emotions and heightened sensitivity surrounding the event.

The k*lling, executed from a rooftop at Utah Valley University, shocked the nation, and Kimmel’s attempt to score political points by mischaracterizing the assassin’s ideology risked escalating tensions in an already polarized climate. His remarks came before full details of the case were public, making his speculative narrative reckless and premature.

Nexstar and Sinclair’s swift response to preempt his show reflects the gravity of his misstep, as broadcasters prioritized community values over airing divisive content.

Carr’s warning of FCC action emphasizes the implications: Kimmel’s choice to push a false narrative at such a delicate moment threatened the public interest, justifying the broadcasters’ decision to suspend his show to foster more constructive dialogue and allow time for healing.
