They insist the dinner doubles as a “thank‑you for his decades of public service.”
In their own glowing terms, “President Biden’s decisive victory in the South Carolina primary put our nation on a path toward historic investments in infrastructure, job creation, and economic stability,” the SCDP stated.
Of course, the aging ex-president won’t be alone at this shindig. He’ll be surrounded by a bunch of South Carolina’s top Democratic figures, all eager to bask in his fading glow.
The whole affair is slated for Friday, February 27, kicking off at 7 p.m.
But don’t expect to just show up unannounced—the location is a closely guarded secret, revealed only to those who RSVP properly.
Tickets aren’t cheap either, with general admission set at a cool $125 a pop. That’s real money for everyday folks, but apparently pocket change for the elite crowd attending.
The cash raked in from this event, as noted by ABC 4, will supposedly fuel the party’s efforts to scout candidates and beef up their election machine.
Meanwhile, Biden’s last jaunt to the Palmetto State while still in office happened back on January 19, 2025. He popped into the International African American Museum down in Charleston.
After that, he delivered a speech at the Royal Missionary Baptist Church over in North Charleston.
