Joe Biden concocts disgusting Supreme Court takeover

The constitution is under attack. President Biden is waging a war on checks and balances.

Because Joe Biden has concocted this truly disgusting Supreme Court takeover.

One of the biggest thorns in the side of the Leftist agenda of the Democrat Party and its allies is the Supreme Court. The U.S. Supreme Court bench has, over the past few years, thwarted some of the most radical Leftist dream agenda items. Roe v. Wade being overturned is a big one, which has empowered states to legislate the issue how they see fit. Second Amendment protections have been bolstered. State administrative and regulative power has been put in check. And, of course, the defense of Donald Trump on the immunity issue was massive.

For decades, the Left was getting favorable rulings with a bench that had conservatives who were largely weak, with the exception of Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas. But they were just two individuals who were up against it, in many cases.

While Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, and Amy Barrett haven’t just given a blank check to conservative issues for cashing in, they’ve obviously been much more conservative in their jurisprudence. Combine them with Clarence Thomas, and there’s just no way around the fact that the High Court bench is no doubt more conservative than it has been in fifty years.

That’s unacceptable to the Left. They’ve tried to drum up calls for the impeachment of Clarence Thomas, to no avail. They’ve been railing against the bench by trying to call for Court packing tactics, but that’s an extremely controversial move.

With Joe Biden seriously down in the polls, he needs to address his base who is extremely upset with him and have no confidence in him. So what does he go and do? Plan a radical reforming of the U.S. Supreme Court that is completely unprecedented and solely designed to appeal to his radical base and keep his campaign from bleeding out.

President Biden to Endorse Major Supreme Court Reforms

President Joe Biden is anticipated to back significant changes to the U.S. Supreme Court, which could include legislation on term limits for justices and enforceable ethics codes, as reported by The Washington Post.

Sources close to the situation informed the Post about Biden’s forthcoming endorsement. This could also encompass a call for a constitutional amendment to eliminate broad immunity for presidents and other officeholders.

“I’m going to need your help on the Supreme Court, because I’m about to come out — I don’t want to prematurely announce it — but I’m about to come out with a major initiative on limiting the court,” Biden reportedly said in a call with Congressional Progressive Congress members, according to The Washington Post. “I’ve been working with constitutional scholars for the last three months, and I need some help.”

These proposed changes follow multiple Supreme Court rulings that have not favored the Biden administration.

In late June, the justices ruled 6-3 in Fischer v. United States, holding that the Department of Justice (DOJ) had overstepped by broadly interpreting the law to pursue former President Donald Trump and his supporters over the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

This decision impacted special prosecutor Jack Smith’s election interference case against Trump, as two of the charges involved Trump allegedly making “knowingly false claims of election fraud to obstruct the federal government function by which those results are collected, counted, and certified.”

In early July, the justices further ruled on Trump’s presidential immunity appeal, determining that presidents have immunity from criminal prosecutions for “official acts” while in office. This ruling complicated Smith and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ cases against Trump, though both are still proceeding.

On Monday, Smith faced another setback when Florida Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed his classified documents case against Trump, agreeing that Smith’s appointment as special counsel by Biden’s attorney general was unlawful.

Biden reportedly discussed the immunity ruling with Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe, as noted by The Washington Post. Tribe mentioned that the dismissal of Smith’s case creates an opportunity for Cannon to be removed from the case.

The Supreme Court also delivered a landmark decision by overturning Chevron v. Natural Resources Defense Council, which had required courts to defer to reasonable agency interpretations of ambiguous laws. This means lower courts must now reconsider cases where federal agencies interfered with Americans’ activities.

Democratic lawmakers and Leftist activists have been urging Biden to address changes to the court following these rulings. Democratic California Rep. Ro Khanna stated that Biden should “run on term limits in 2024” to “wake up the court” over their decisions, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Despite the pressure, Biden has maintained that he does not support court-packing. In an interview with MSNBC, he stated that attempting to expand the court would “politicize it, maybe forever, in a way that is not healthy.” This announcement is clearly an attempt to appease his base while not making any move that’s overly dramatic in an election year and alienating independent voters he is struggling to capture.
