You’re never truly safe when working in politics. But this is a step too far.
Because Joe Biden was just attacked by a deranged lunatic.
On Monday night, a car collided with a security barrier at the White House compound, resulting in the arrest of the driver.
According to Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the United States Secret Service, the collision occurred around 6 p.m. when “a vehicle collided with an exterior gate on the White House complex.”
“The driver has been taken into custody & we are investigating the cause & manner of the collision,” the officer said.
“Expect traffic implications at 15th Street & Pennsylvania Ave & adjacent intersections.”
President Joe Biden was away on business at the time of the incident.

This isn’t the first time Biden has been subject to vehicular distractions.
A driver smashed into Biden’s motorcade last month, just as he was about to go back inside one of the vehicles after leaving his campaign office headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, following a dinner he and the first lady attended.
The car collided with a U.S. Secret Service vehicle that was blocking an intersection near the headquarters.
When federal law enforcement officers encircled the car and ordered the driver to put his hands up, the car allegedly tried to drive into the closed-off intersection.
The event was captured on video with Biden coming outside and talking to a heckler when the crash occurred.
The crash was loud enough to attract the notice of Secret Service personnel, who quickly surrounded Biden and pulled him inside the vehicle.

According to local authorities, the driver of the vehicle was eventually charged with DUI.
“Following our investigation, Wilmington Police have determined that this was an accidental collision, and have charged the driver of the striking vehicle – a 46-year-old Wilmington man – with Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol and Inattentive Driving,” said Wilmington Police Department Communications Director David Karas.
We don’t know what the motive behind the current crash in D.C. is, but given the Biden admin’s penchant for not disclosing information, we may never know.
