Kamala Harris’ friends just abandoned her on live TV

Former Vice President Harris’ career is over. Everyone knows it.

And now even Kamala Harris’ friends just abandoned her on live TV.

Harris’ Claim on Broken System Sparks Debate

During a recent appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, former Vice President Kamala Harris stirred controversy by stating, “Just for now, I don’t want to go back in the system. I think it’s broken.”

This comment, made while discussing her decision not to run for California’s governorship, drew sharp criticism from talk show hosts Charlamagne and Stephen A. Smith on Monday’s episode of Smith’s show.

Both questioned the credibility of Harris’ critique, given her extensive career within the political system, including roles as a prosecutor, state attorney general, U.S. senator, and vice president.

Charlamagne and Smith Question Harris’ Political Future

Charlamagne, while acknowledging his long-time support for Harris, expressed skepticism about her viability as a 2028 presidential candidate.

“I personally believe there’s no way in h*ll she’s going to win the presidency in 2028. I don’t think that she’s going to be the candidate,” Smith stated, suggesting Harris might be better suited as a symbolic figure for the Democratic Party rather than a political leader.

Charlamagne agreed, noting, “Her whole career has been the system,” and questioning the logic of her stepping back from it now.

Both hosts viewed her recent statement as inconsistent with her decades-long involvement in public service.

Critique of Harris’ Strategic Choices

Smith highlighted what he described as Harris’ strategic missteps, including her reluctance to distance herself from President Joe Biden during her 2024 campaign, which ended in a loss to President Donald Trump.

He called her “system is broken” remark another error for a “career politician,” stating, “You’ve been there practically all your life… And now you’re saying it’s broken? That means you couldn’t do but so much to fix it when you was in it.”

Charlamagne added historical context, noting, “The system was broken long before Donald Trump, you know, got into office.”
