No one is surprised by Biden’s mental health anymore. But Kamala has some answering to do.
And now Kamala Harris made a shocking confession about Joe Biden’s mental health.
Vice President Kamala Harris found herself dodging some tough questions about her honesty regarding President Biden’s obvious mental decline during an interview with NBC’s Hallie Jackson.
Harris, who’s been Biden’s staunchest defender, has long brushed off concerns about his age and cognitive abilities, but with Biden’s disastrous CNN debate performance as a looming backdrop, it’s hard to ignore the elephant in the room.
Jackson cut right to the chase, asking Harris if she had been truthful with the American people about what she witnessed behind closed doors. Harris, ever the polished politician, didn’t flinch, saying:
“Of course. Joe Biden is an extremely accomplished, experienced and capable in every way that anyone would want if they’re president.”
It’s a textbook response, but considering Biden’s public gaffes and apparent mental slip-ups, one has to wonder — was Harris really seeing the same Biden everyone else was?
Jackson pressed further, recalling Biden’s fumbling debate performance. “You never saw anything like what happened at the debate night behind closed doors with him?” she asked.
Harris, deflecting yet again, replied, “It was a bad debate. People have bad debates.”
Sure, Kamala — everyone has a bad night, but that’s a far cry from the pattern we’ve seen in Biden’s increasingly troubling behavior.
Jackson didn’t let up, pointing out the obvious: “But that’s the reason why you’re here and he’s not running for the top of the ticket.” Harris, trying to sidestep, suggested, “Well, you’d have to ask him if that’s the only reason why.”
When Jackson asked for Harris’s own thoughts, the vice president quickly pivoted to her own ambitions.
“I’m running for President of the United States. Joe Biden is not,” Harris said, trying to shift the focus to her own campaign.
But that doesn’t answer the real question: can Harris be trusted to level with the American people about Biden’s decline?
Jackson continued, emphasizing that it was a “judgment question,” asking if Americans can trust Harris to be honest, especially when the truth might be uncomfortable.
Harris doubled down, claiming she’s seen Biden up close, working in the Oval Office and the Situation Room, and insisted she had no concerns about his capabilities.
This wasn’t the first time Harris has been grilled about Biden’s mental state. In an earlier interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, she offered similar evasive answers, shifting the focus to Donald Trump instead of addressing concerns about Biden.
When Baier asked if she had any concerns after working with Biden week after week for over three years, Harris dodged again, responding, “I think the American people have a concern about Donald Trump.”
Once again, Harris deflects rather than giving a straight answer. Her unwillingness to address Biden’s cognitive issues head-on raises serious questions about her transparency.
If Harris can’t be forthright about something as important as the mental state of a sitting president, how can the American people trust her to be honest about anything else?
