Leading Leftist targets American Christians with this disgusting statement

The Left isn’t afraid to take low blows. They’ll go after anyone who isn’t on board with their woke agenda.

And a leading Leftist targeted American Christians with this disgusting statement.

In the wake of a devastating shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in South Minneapolis, Mayor Jacob Frey is the subject of intense controversy with comments that appeared to dismiss the value of prayer during a time of grief. The remarks, delivered at a Wednesday press conference, drew swift and sharp criticism from faith leaders, commentators, and citizens who labeled them “tone-deaf” and “callous” given the tragic context of children attacked during worship

The attack occurred during a morning Mass, as students gathered to celebrate the start of the school year. FBI Director Kash Patel identified the shooter as Robin Westman, a 23-year-old. Westman was born Robert Westman and legally changed his name five years ago after he identified “as a female.”

Westman shot through church windows, k*lling two children and injuring 14 others, along with three adults, before taking his own life. Patel stated that the FBI is investigating the incident as “an act of domestic terrorism and hate crime targeting Catholics.”

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara described the attack as “evil” and a “deliberate act of violence against innocent children and other people worshipping.”

During the press conference, Frey stated, “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now. These kids were literally praying. It was the first week of school. They were in a church. These are kids that should be learning with their friends. They should be playing on the playground. They should be able to go to school or church in peace without the fear or risk of violence.”

The comments ignited a firestorm on social media, with critics arguing they unfairly targeted people of faith in a moment of profound loss.

Republican analyst Scott Jennings expressed disbelief on X, writing, “Tragedy struck a Minneapolis Catholic school today & the very first thing Mayor @Jacob_Frey did was attack people of faith for calling for prayer. I couldn’t believe it when I heard it. Whatever your political ideology, there are few moments where prayer is more appropriate.”

Conservative commentator Dana Loesch slammed Frey’s timing, stating, “Nothing says idiot politicians like this guy who comes out and promptly attacks and mocks prayer after a tragedy.”

Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright framed the remarks as part of a deeper cultural conflict, writing, “We are in a spiritual war with evil in this country, with this man and his Leftist movement a vehicle for a very dark force. This is exactly the time to pray.”

Michele Tafoya, a media personality, pointed to perceived hypocrisy, recalling Frey’s public crying at George Floyd’s casket in 2020. “Why are people criticizing prayer in this moment?” she asked. “For millions, prayer is the most significant and profound thing they can do in the wake of such evil and tragedy. These kids were praying. And you’re going to discourage that, @MayorFrey?”

Former Georgia Rep. Vernon Jones stated, “After the Minneapolis m*rders by a liberal democrat trans, Minneapolis Mayor, Jacob Frey @Jacob_Frey, @cnn’s liberal hack @DanaBashCNN and other democrats are now saying it’s not about thoughts and prayers any more. Are democrats now abandoning prayer?”

Journalist Peter J. Hasson wrote, “I cannot imagine what kind of person denigrates prayer after Catholic school children were k*lled in the very act of praying.”

In response to the tragedy, President Trump ordered flags flown at half-staff. The FBI continues to investigate the attack as a targeted act of terror against the Catholic community.

Meanwhile, Frey stood by his remarks, urging against “hate” toward the transgender community. “Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to villainize our trans community or any other community out there has lost their sense of common humanity,” he said.

The statement has done little to quell the outrage, as many argue Frey’s initial comments alienated a grieving community seeking comfort in faith during an unimaginable loss.
