Trump’s legal troubles are mounting. They’re nearly impossible for him to avoid.
And this major court loss could be the end for Donald Trump.
Former President Donald Trump is involved in a plethora of legal cases and indictments against him and his businesses.
One of these cases involves a civil case against the Trump Organization with New York Attorney General Letitia James presiding.
The Attorney General believes that Trump committed fraud by exaggerating the financial status of himself and his assets in order to get loans from banks.
“James seeks to convince Engoron that Trump’s annual financial statements exaggerated his net worth by upward of $2.2 billion on some of his records. She aims to prove Trump submitted the statements to banks to gain favorable loans,” reports the Washington Examiner.
“Trump attorney Chris Kise has countered that such banks made a profit off of the loans and that the former president always made his payments on time.”
The trial is supposed to start on October 2, but Donald Trump has been looking for ways to delay the trial.
Trump and his legal team filed a lawsuit to Arthur Engoron, a Supreme Court Justice in the state of New York.
The goal of the law suit was to push back the start date of the trial and to dispute Attorney General James’ claims about potential fraud.
A similar situation is happening in the state of Florida and Washington, D.C.
The Trump lawyers are working to delay federal cases in those locations as well.
The cases involve Donald Trump’s alleged role in classified documents being improperly managed, and his participation in trying to overturn the 2020 election.
Jay Bratt, a prosecutor in the Florida case, believes that Trump trying to delay the trial, “threatens to upend the entire schedule established by the court.”
The prosecution wants to make things as difficult as possible for Donald Trump.
If the former President is innocent or not, it doesn’t matter to them.
At the request of Democrats, these prosecutors are going to do everything in their power to make it nearly impossible for Trump to secure the Republican nomination for President.
Donald Trump has a nearly insurmountable lead in the GOP primary polls.
Leftist prosecutors are hoping that lead will evaporate after several of these trials take place.
