Rubio wears many hats. He’s one of the top leaders in the Trump administration.
And Marco Rubio made waves online by shooting down this big-time opportunity.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has officially poured cold water on the wild idea of him stepping in as head coach of the Miami Dolphins. The former Florida senator, who’s become a key player in the Trump administration, took to X to set the record straight.
Rubio’s post came out of nowhere on Thursday, addressing the buzz that’s been swirling online
“I do not normally respond to online rumors but feel the need to do so at this moment,” he stated.
“I will not be a candidate for the currently vacant HC and GM positions with the Miami Dolphins.”
“While you never know what the future may bring, right now my focus must remain on global events and also the precious archives of the United States of America.”

It’s no secret that Rubio has ties to the Dolphins. His wife cheered for the team back in the day.
Rubio himself is a football enthusiast. That passion has only fueled the online chatter imagining him swapping diplomacy for playbooks.
But let’s be real—this whole thing stems from the hilarious internet memes poking fun at Rubio’s jam-packed schedule under President Trump.
As Secretary of State, Rubio’s leading the charge on foreign policy, negotiating deals and standing up to adversaries who threaten American interests. That’s a full-time gig in itself.
On top of that, he stepped up as interim national security adviser.
For a brief stint, Rubio even took the reins at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), steering it until its doors were shuttered.
And don’t forget his role as acting national archivist.
This avalanche of responsibilities has inspired creative types online to fire up AI tools, dreaming up absurd “jobs” for the versatile Republican. From coaching gigs to who-knows-what, the images are flying fast and furious.

It’s all in good fun, showcasing how Rubio’s become the go-to guy for getting things done in the Trump era.
