Kamala is by far not the strongest candidate the Left could have fielded. They felt they had to do it.
But now one reality from Kamala Harris’s past just came back to bite her.
Vice President Kamala Harris’s far-Left policies, which she’s tried to downplay in recent months, paint a troubling picture of her values — ones that haven’t changed, despite attempts to soften her image.
During her disastrous 2020 presidential campaign, Harris supported taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgeries for prison inmates, decriminalizing drugs, and ending ICE detainers for illegal immigrants accused of crimes.
These stances were revealed in a questionnaire she filled out for the American Civil Liberties Union, resurfacing now as Harris prepares for a pivotal debate against former President Donald Trump.
“Kamala’s support for the decriminalization of all drugs will worsen the drug epidemic in this country leading to more overdoses, deaths, homelessness, and heartbreak,” noted Trump 2024 press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
She also slammed Harris’s idea to fund s*x change surgeries for illegal immigrants as “absolutely insane” and “unfair to American taxpayers.” It’s no wonder Harris is seen as “dangerously liberal.”
Despite Harris stepping into the spotlight as the new Democratic frontrunner after President Biden’s exit from the race in July, her campaign has been backpedaling on some of her radical positions — like opposition to fracking and support for electric vehicle mandates — without any direct explanation from her.
In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Harris tried to dodge criticism by claiming, “the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed.” But that’s exactly the issue — her values haven’t changed, and that’s a problem for America.
Harris’s extreme views were evident back when she was California’s attorney general, where she advocated for transgender inmates to receive taxpayer-funded gender surgeries.
“I support policies ensuring that federal prisoners and detainees are able to obtain medically necessary care for gender transition, including surgical care,” she declared. For Harris, funding transition treatment is a “medical necessity,” regardless of the cost to hardworking taxpayers.
On top of that, Harris expressed support for the decriminalization of “all drug possession for personal use” at the federal level, even though she had previously prosecuted marijuana cases.
Now, she claims to treat drug addiction as a “public health issue.” Yet, her campaign website conveniently omits her earlier calls for decriminalizing marijuana, focusing instead on vague promises to end the opioid epidemic.
Another key concern is her stance on immigration. Harris wants to end ICE detainers, which allow local law enforcement to hold illegal immigrants accused of crimes until they can be transferred to federal custody.
She argued law enforcement shouldn’t act as “federal immigration agents,” prioritizing what she calls “public safety” over cracking down on illegal immigration. This is especially alarming given the leftward shift of the Biden administration, which significantly reduced the use of ICE detainers after he took office.
While Harris pays lip service to supporting Israel, her record tells a different story. Back in 2019, she opposed legislation targeting the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which seeks to economically punish Israel.
Although she claimed to personally oppose BDS, Harris’s actions align her with anti-Israel sentiments on the far Left.
Finally, Harris’s stance on abortion underscores her radical agenda. She supports scrapping the Hyde Amendment, a policy that prevents federal dollars from being used for abortions.
Her disregard for the moral and religious beliefs of millions of Americans who oppose taxpayer-funded abortions speaks volumes about her priorities.
At every turn, Harris has shown that her values remain rooted in a dangerous, far-Left ideology.
As her policies come under scrutiny, it’s clear she poses a serious threat to America’s future.
