Hegseth has been a strong leader for the Department of War. He’s certainly been up to the task.
And Pete Hegseth revealed inside information into negotiation talks with this foreign enemy.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth delivered a no-nonsense update Tuesday that should have every patriotic American cheering. Despite desperate denials from Tehran’s mouthpieces, direct talks with the country are not only happening—they are charging forward with real momentum.
“On the talks, I can tell you, having been with Steve and Jared and the vice president, Marco and many others yesterday – they are very real, they are ongoing, they’re active and I think gaining strength, and we appreciate that,” Hegseth stated.
He was referencing U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, and Marco Rubio.
This isn’t the limp-wristed diplomacy of past administrations that let Iran fund terror and inch toward a nuclear bomb.
This is President Trump’s America First approach in action—maximum pressure through precision strikes paired with clear-eyed negotiations that put U.S. strength front and center.
“Our strikes are damaging the morale of the Iranian military, leading to widespread desertions, key personnel shortages and causing frustrations amongst senior leaders,” Hegseth stated.
The Iranian regime is fracturing from within. Hegseth confirmed what President Trump declared just days earlier: the old guard is finished. “Regime change has occurred” in Iran, Hegseth stated, echoing the commander-in-chief’s assessment that Tehran is now operating under its third leadership shakeup since the conflict ignited..
Trump has noted the current setup in Tehran is proving far more pragmatic than the bloodthirsty fanatics who preceded it. The Iranian parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, is now the face of this fresh regime at the bargaining table with American negotiators.
“Our job is to ensure that we compel Iran to realize that this new regime is in a better place if they make that deal,” Hegseth stated.
Make no mistake—the priority remains a solid agreement that protects American interests and those of our allies. But weakness is not on the menu.
“The primary effort is a deal. We want that deal to be accomplished, if at all possible. If not, then we’re prepared to continue,” Hegseth continued.
President Trump has never played games with America’s enemies, and the message to Iran’s new power brokers is crystal clear.
“President Trump doesn’t bluff, and he doesn’t back down. This new regime, because regime change has occurred, should be wiser than the last,” the Secretary of War said.
“American firepower is only increasing. Iran’s is decreasing. We have more and more options, and they have less.”
