Millions of Americans knew a Biden administration would be a disaster. But no one thought it would be quite as bad as it’s been.
But that’s why President Biden waved the white flag of surrender when he saw these results hit his desk.
When Biden announced his presidential candidacy back in 2019, most everyone scratched their head at the idea of Biden being able to take to the Oval Office in his older age.
Questions surrounding his age dominated the lead up to the election in November 2020.
And those questions have stuck around since, even getting louder as he’s seemingly become more of a gaffe machine than ever before.
Now there’s questions about his ability to take a second term in the White House as he’d be 82 years old and 86 at the end of the term.
Biden, however, swears that he has no intentions of bowing out of the 2024 election.
But he might be forced out of the race by his own Party.
According to an ABC News/Washington Post poll, only 35% of Democrats want Biden in the 2024 Presidential election cycle.
More than 56% want the Democrat Party to pick someone else to run for President instead.

That’s a huge problem for the Democrats no matter which way you cut it.
First, as we’ve noted here on the DC Daily Journal before, if the Democrat Party pushes Biden out of the 2024 options too early, it makes Biden a lame duck President with more than half of his term still to serve.
That would be disasterous for the Democrats in both Congressional races and the Presidential race in 2024.
Secondly, the Democrats have no good option to run against the current favorite to win the GOP nomination, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
There is absolutely no way Kamala Harris could be the pick for the Democrats in 2024. Harris is one of the most unpopular Vice Presidents ever in American history.
Some within the Democrat Party are propping up Gavin Newsom. But he comes from the most far-left “progressive” state, California.
His extreme and radical Left policies would ostracize the vast majority of Americans and the Democrat Party can’t use his home as a way to flip a state because he’s in the deepest Blue state in the country.
Others have argued for Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg. While Pete comes across as a reasonable outsider for the Democrat Party, his name recognition is nowhere near that of DeSantis or Trump.
Combine that with the fact that he is also married to the policies of the radical “progressive” Left, and he’d be the first gay President in American history, it’s hard to imagine him winning in 2024.
If the Democrats are pushing out Biden to make their prospects of winning in 2024 brighter, that may be the wrong move all together.
But then again, the results do show that Democrat voters don’t want to see a second term for Biden.
That could lead to low turnout at the ballot box when the rubber hits the road in November 2024 at the ballot box.
Either way, it seems like the Democrats are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
