Donald Trump has already survived one close call on his life. He seems to think another one is on the horizon.
Because the President surprised the entire world when he confessed he’s preparing to be assassinated.
President Trump Prepares Contingency Documents In Case Iran Assassinates Him
In a striking statement on Tuesday, President Donald Trump warned that if Iran were to carry out an assassination attempt against him, the country would be “obliterated.” Trump’s comments came during the signing of an executive order aimed at imposing maximum pressure on Tehran. While addressing the issue, the president revealed that he had left specific instructions for his advisers in the event of such an attack. “That would be a terrible thing for them to do,” Trump remarked. “If they did that, they would be obliterated. That would be the end. There won’t be anything left.”
Trump also took a shot at former President Joe Biden, claiming that Biden “should have said that” regarding the potential repercussions for Iran, but failed to do so due to what Trump referred to as a “lack of intelligence.”
The U.S. Justice Department had confirmed in November that it had successfully thwarted an Iranian plot to k*ll Trump just weeks before the presidential election. According to a criminal complaint filed in September, an official from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) had tasked Farhad Shakeri, 51, of Iran, with surveilling and ultimately assassinating Trump.
Shakeri, who immigrated to the U.S. as a child, was deported approximately 17 years ago after serving a 14-year prison sentence for a robbery conviction. Authorities revealed that on October 7, 2024, Shakeri was allegedly directed to develop a plan to k*ll Trump. The DOJ also stated that Shakeri has not been apprehended and is believed to be residing in Iran.
During his remarks, President Trump also emphasized the seriousness of the executive order, noting, “I’m signing this, and it’s a very powerful document, but hopefully we’re not going to have to use it.” White House officials did not tell reporters whether there were recent credible threats on Trump’s life coming from Iran, though they note the possibility still remains.

White House Pushing For Nuclear Peace Deal To Disarm Iran For Years To Come
President Donald Trump suggested early Wednesday that the United States pursue a nuclear peace deal with Iran, reiterating his firm belief that the Islamic Republic should not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Despite his stance on Iran’s nuclear capabilities, Trump expressed his desire for the nation to be “successful.”
“I want Iran to be a great and successful country, but one that cannot have a nuclear weapon,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. He also downplayed reports that the U.S., in collaboration with Israel, was planning military action against Iran, calling those claims “GREATLY EXAGGERATED.”
Instead, Trump emphasized his preference for a peaceful resolution: “I would much prefer a Verified Nuclear Peace Agreement, which will let Iran peacefully grow and prosper,” he continued. “We should start working on it immediately, and have a big Middle East Celebration when it is signed and completed. God Bless the Middle East!”
The president did not elaborate on the specifics of the proposed agreement. His comments followed the signing of an executive order aimed at reducing Iran’s oil exports to zero. Trump also expressed his openness to negotiations with the country, though he warned of dire consequences if Iran were to attempt an assassination against him, stating that the nation would be “obliterated.”
“I’m going to sign it, but hopefully we’re not going to have to use it very much,” Trump said on Tuesday. “We will see whether or not we can arrange or work out a deal with Iran.” He clarified, “We don’t want to be tough on Iran. We don’t want to be tough on anybody. But they just can’t have a nuclear bomb.”
Trump’s tough stance on Iran is consistent with his approach during his first term. In 2018, he withdrew the U.S. from the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, negotiated under former President Obama. Following the U.S. withdrawal, Iran also pulled out of the deal.
Recent reports indicate that Iran has resumed enriching uranium, with U.S. intelligence suggesting that the country has deployed a covert team of scientists to explore faster pathways to developing nuclear weapons — should Iran’s leadership decide to approve it. The New York Times reported on Monday that these activities have raised alarms within the U.S. intelligence community.
