The Democrat Party is in shambles. And this is making things so much worse.
Now a prominent Democrat drunkenly berated a cop in a humiliating video.
Prominent Democrat’s Entitled Meltdown Exposed on Bodycam
A high-ranking Rhode Island Democrat, deeply embedded in party leadership, was captured on police body-cam footage unleashing a belligerent tirade against officers during a DUI stop, hurling insults, invoking her status with “You know who I am, right?” and bizarrely injecting race into the incident by ranting, “God forbid I was a black person, I’d be arrested.”
Cranston Democratic Committee chair Maria Bucci—closely tied to a current Democratic gubernatorial candidate—berated East Greenwich police with repeated abuse shortly after midnight last Thursday, as they attempted a routine field sobriety test following her traffic stop.
The chaotic outbursts escalated rapidly, with Bucci, who is white, oddly attempting to play the race card amid her confrontation.
“I honestly feel bad, if I was a black human, I think you guys,” she said as a cop objected. “No, honestly, I feel bad for the people, I feel bad for the people that are not in my position.”
Moments later, while ignoring instructions for the sobriety walk, she yelled to her cousin in the car: “Call my husband right now, and call the attorney general and everybody else in town.”
“Cause this is disgusting, God forbid I was a black person, I’d be arrested.”
Arrogance and Defiance Lead to Arrest
Bucci’s refusal to cooperate, coupled with ongoing provocation, forced officers to handcuff her despite her escalating insults.
“You’re a d–k, give me the camera, you’re a d–k,” she said. “Like I am not drinking, you’re a loser.”
The 51-year-old faces a misdemeanor DUI charge (first offense, blood alcohol unknown), after police noted a strong alcohol odor from her vehicle, along with her bloodshot, glassy eyes, slurred speech, and confrontational demeanor.
Bucci has long been a fixture in Rhode Island Democratic circles, having run unsuccessfully for Cranston mayor in 2020 and state representative in 2024. She currently chairs the Cranston Democratic Committee and recently hosted an event praised by Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Helena Buonanno Foulkes.
“Such a great evening in Cranston! Thank you, [Maria Bucci], for bringing such wonderful people together and to the [Circe Prime] team for the warm hospitality and delicious food,” Buonanno Foulkes posted on Instagram on Dec. 3.
Early in the stop, Bucci appeared to leverage her political connections.
“You know who I am, right?” she asked.
The officer firmly responded, “I don’t know who you are and I frankly –”
“You don’t care, right?” she interrupted.
“No, I really don’t,” the officer said.
Bucci initially claimed she’d only had one glass of wine at a Christmas party, but the evidence pointed to impairment.
Neither the state Democratic committee nor Buonanno Foulkes’ campaign responded to requests for comment, while Bucci herself remained silent—highlighting yet another example of Democratic elite entitlement clashing with the equal justice everyday Americans expect from law enforcement.
