Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is quickly becoming a household name among conservatives and Americans in general. He’s taken Joe Biden and the Left to task and given them all they can handle.
DeSantis might have a new enemy in the workings, though. Because Ron DeSantis is about to make Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s nightmare come true.
U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY-14), has become the default “voice” for the self-proclaimed progressive Left.
Of course, the progressive Left isn’t remotely well organized in Washington, D.C. and she’s only their “leader” because she is the loudest radical progressive Representative in Congress.
Though, it would be inaccurate to say the progressive Left has made no headway in politics at-large, despite their disorganization and infighting in the D.C. Swamp.
Progressive Leftist candidates have started winning more significant seats around the nation, beating out their Democrat establishment counterparts.
One particularly hot race is between progressive newcomer Nikki Fried and Democrat old guard Charlie Crist in their bid to take on Ron DeSantis this fall.
In fact, the latest reports indicate that Nikki Fried, who wasn’t given much of a chance during campaign announcements, could now be the front-runner to face the wildly popular Ron DeSantis.
The Tallahassee Democrat reports:
The UNF poll conducted last week shows Fried with a 47% to 43% lead over Crist.
The number of likely Democratic voters interviewed was 529 for the Fried-Crist question and had a margin of error of 4.5%.
It indicates a 12-point swing to Fried since February, the last time the university surveyed the race.
Regardless of who wins the Democrat primary, Ron DeSantis is all but certain to turn the polls into a bloodbath.
It would be particularly bad for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow radical Progressives if Nikki Fried loses embarrassingly to Ron DeSantis come November.
Politically, all eyes have been on Florida for decades. Ron DeSantis’s popularity has brought even more attention to the state.
So if Nikki Fried gets utterly destroyed by Ron DeSantis at the ballot box, it would be damaging to the recent surge of radical progressivism.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should hope Nikki Fried doesn’t win that primary. It’s almost certainly an unwinnable race against DeSantis.
If she does, though, Ron DeSantis might have a new enemy in the “leader” of the radical progressives.
We’re sure he’d welcome that with a smile.
