Everyone in Washington, D.C. have been warning how incapable the Biden administration is on foreign policy and domestic security.
Ron DeSantis has had enough. And DeSantis just took Joe Biden’s job with this stunning move to protect Americans from this major global threat.
One of the biggest concerns that Americans had leading up to Biden’s inauguration in January 2021 was his ability to protect Americans from foreign enemies.
Those concerns weren’t unfounded.
Joe Biden’s administration has bent the knee to the biggest global threats like China and Russia and sold out Americans for his own political gain.
The most recent issue has come from China buying up land left and right here in the United States homeland.
Just in the last decade, Chinese ownership of U.S. farmland has increased 20 times!
In 2010, the Chinese owned about $81 million in farmland. That number is now $1.8 billion.
Anyone with half of a brain knows that’s a major security threat, especially as they are opting to buy up land near critical military cities and bases.
When pressed on this issue, the Biden administration has deflected and ignored it entirely, just as could be expected from his do-nothing administration’s attitude.
We’ll some conservatives have had enough of this nonsense and are taking matters into their own hands, including Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Ron DeSantis recently announced that his office was taking new actions to protect Floridians from threats like China.
With executive action and legislative proposals, the DeSantis team is seeking to block nations like China from gobbling up farmland and surrounding military bases, causing security and espionage concerns.
“From server farms to farmland, the Communist Party of China has been worming its way into our nation’s data storage systems and buying up tracts of land near sensitive national security sites,” DeSantis said in a statement.
“By prohibiting the purchase of lands, state contracts with Chinese technology firms, and the infiltration of CCP-affiliated groups such as Confucius Institutes, Florida is leading the way to protect our nation from international foes.”
DeSantis signed an executive order that will ban foreign governments from “procuring technology and services from companies owned by, controlled by, or located in China or other foreign countries of concern.”
“With today’s Executive Order, Governor DeSantis takes decisive action to defend the State of Florida and all Floridians from the cyber threats posed by foreign countries of concern and associated groups,” said Pedro Allende secretary of the Department of Management Services.
The Biden administration is unwilling and incapable of protecting Americans on the world stage and domestically.
So someone has to do it.
Ron DeSantis being the first Governor to publicly take these major steps to protect his constituents speaks volumes.
Biden and the Democrats will have no defense against this in the 2024 election cycle.
They’ve opted to ignore the security threats that nations like China pose to give off the impression that “everything is fine” and that their administration has everything under control.
But it’s not under control. And DeSantis is sick and tired of it.
