Secret Service threw President Trump to the wolves with one shocking confession

The Secret Service should be the most elite bodyguards on the planet. But the more we learn, the worse they appear.

And now Secret Service threw President Trump to the wolves with one shocking confession.

President Donald Trump, the fearless leader of the America First movement, faces grave risks due to the Secret Service’s shocking failures, as exposed in a September Department of Homeland Security Inspector General report. The agency’s counter sniper team, vital for protecting America’s most prominent patriot, is operating at a mere 27% of required staffing levels, endangering Trump’s life.

The report warns, “Failure to appropriately staff CS could limit the Secret Service’s ability to properly protect our Nation’s most senior leaders, risking injury or assassination, and subsequent national-level harm to the country’s sense of safety and security.” This isn’t just a bureaucratic oversight—it’s a betrayal of Trump, who fights daily against a hostile establishment.

The report follows the July 2024 assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Thomas Matthew Crooks fired eight rounds, k*lling firefighter Corey Comperatore and grazing Trump’s ear.

A Secret Service counter sniper neutralized the threat, showcasing their skill, but the incident exposed deep flaws. A bipartisan House task force deemed the attack “preventable,” noting the agency’s failure to secure a “high-risk area” at the American Glass Research (AGR) complex. This lapse “eventually allowed Crooks to evade law enforcement, climb on and traverse the roof of the AGR complex, and open fire.” For Trump, whose bold leadership makes him a constant target, these failures are a call to action.

The Secret Service, with a $1.2 billion budget, protects 344 high-profile figures, including Trump, across 5,141 visits in 2024. Yet, demand for counter snipers surged 151% from 2020 to 2024, while staffing grew only 5%.

“Meanwhile, demand for snipers is up. Events the sniper team supported increased by 151% from calendar year 2020 to 2024, even though staffing only increased 5% over that span,” the report confirms. This forced 247,887 hours of overtime—equivalent to 24 full-time snipers—and reliance on under-qualified marksmen. The Secret Service must be the world’s most elite bodyguard force to protect Trump, not a stretched-thin operation.

Trump’s unyielding fight against globalists and elites, from trade deals to border security, makes him a lightning rod for threats. The Butler incident, where an unsecured rooftop gave Crooks a clear shot, shows what happens when the Secret Service falters. Counter snipers, when fully staffed, are unmatched, capable of neutralizing threats with lethal precision. But understaffing risks catastrophe for Trump, who carries the hopes of millions.

The Inspector General slams the Secret Service’s hiring process, limited to Uniformed Division officers, as inadequate. Training a counter sniper takes nearly three years, leaving dangerous gaps. In Q2 2024, no snipers re-qualified on daytime rifles, yet they covered 47 protective assignments. This is a scandal for an agency meant to safeguard Trump, the leader of the MAGA movement. The Secret Service must recruit elite marksmen from the military—Navy SEALs, Army Rangers—to become the world’s best.

Butler exposed a cascade of failures. The task force found poor coordination with local law enforcement, leaving the AGR complex vulnerable. Communication breakdowns delayed responses, allowing Crooks to act. These systemic issues, not isolated errors, threaten Trump, who faces growing hostility for his America First policies. The Secret Service must be a fortress, not a weak link.

Post-Butler reforms show the agency’s potential. Former Acting Director Ronald Rowe told lawmakers in December 2024, “immediate changes to the agency after the Pennsylvania assassination attempt included expanding the use of drones for surveillance purposes and incorporating greater counter-drone technology to mitigate kinetic attacks from other drones.”

Upgraded radio networks ensure coordination with local law enforcement. A Secret Service spokesperson told Fox News on September 4, that “significant progress has already been made towards recruitment of specialized teams and the retention of highly trained personnel, such as counter snipers.” These steps are critical for Trump’s safety.

The Secret Service’s July 2025 statement vows ongoing improvements: “The reforms made over this last year are just the beginning, and the agency will continue to assess its operations, review recommendations and make additional changes as needed.” This commitment is vital for Trump, whose high-profile role amplifies his risk. The agency must deliver a counter sniper team that’s a global leader, not a patchwork of overworked agents.

Overtime—60,000 hours in 2024, with one agent logging 1,403 hours—burns out snipers. Worse, 11% of 2024 protective events used under-qualified snipers, including for Biden’s Dallas and New York stops. This is no way to protect Trump, whose energy and resolve define the MAGA movement. The Secret Service must be the best, not a liability.

Political violence is rising, from the 2017 Scalise shooting to Butler’s near-tragedy. Trump’s leadership, challenging the establishment, invites threats. The Secret Service’s counter snipers, at full strength, are unmatched, as Butler showed. But the 73% staffing gap risks failure, a danger America can’t afford for its greatest leader.

Failures stem from years of mismanagement. Under Biden, as X posts like @PatriotVoiceUSA noted in 2023, chronic underfunding and low morale plagued the agency. The $1.2 billion budget should fund a counter sniper team that sets the world standard, but bureaucratic inertia persists. Trump deserves protection from the best, not a faltering force.

The Left’s attacks on Trump, from media lies to physical threats, heighten the stakes. The Secret Service’s hiring plan, per the Inspector General, must tap elite talent. Derek Mayer, former deputy special agent, told ABC News that post-Butler, the agency is reducing reliance on local forces. This shift is essential to make the Secret Service the ultimate bodyguard force.

Butler’s response, where a sniper stopped Crooks in seconds, proves the Secret Service’s potential. A fully staffed team would make it unmatched globally. Trump’s safety depends on this transformation as he leads the fight for America’s future.

The Secret Service’s commitment to “expand our capacity and strengthen the agency’s ability to ensure a sustainable, mission-focused workforce,” as told to Fox News, is a start.
