Secretary of State drops bombshell on Vice President Harris

The Biden camp is not happy with Harris. They’re leaving her out to dry.

And now the Secretary of State has dropped a devastating bombshell on Vice President Harris.

The discord between Joe Biden and Kamala Harris is becoming more and more apparent as the news keeps flooding in, demonstrating how the two camps are at serious odds with each other on major issues. It’s been reported that Joe Biden and his close allies are not a fan of the way Kamala Harris works, saying she is harsh to her staff and is rarely focused.

On the Kamala side, there were tons of reports that indicated how frustrated her staff was with Joe Biden, specifically that he was not willing to step down from running for a second term for office. That is, until the Democrats forced him out lest he face shame from his own Party elites like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer who were allegedly preparing to publicly disavow Joe Biden.

Now another Joe Biden ally is widening the divide between Biden and Kamala Harris, saying that he is not interested in working for Kamala Harris in any capacity. That would be none other than the Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken Signals Departure, Declines Potential Harris Administration Role

In a recent press conference, Secretary of State Antony Blinken indicated his intention to step down from his role at the conclusion of the Biden administration in January. Blinken, who has been at the helm of U.S. foreign policy for the past three years, expressed a desire to spend more time with his family, effectively ruling out any potential position in a Harris-Walz administration.

“As to my own future, all I’m looking at right now is the balance of this administration and January,” Blinken stated. He added, “And I can tell you from having spent some time over the last week on a bit of a break with my kids, I will relish having a lot more time with them.”

This announcement marks the first public acknowledgment of Blinken’s future plans, amidst growing speculation about potential cabinet members in a Harris presidency. His decision suggests that Harris’ foreign policy team would likely differ from Biden’s, despite her general alignment with the current administration’s international approach.

Blinken’s tenure as Secretary of State has been particularly demanding, with approximately half of his time spent traveling abroad. His career in foreign policy and national security spans multiple Democratic administrations, culminating in his current role under President Biden.

The Secretary’s time in office has not been without controversy. He faced significant criticism for his part in the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, which resulted in the country’s collapse and the tragic loss of 13 U.S. service members. An after-action report revealed that the State Department, tasked with facilitating the evacuation of Americans, was unprepared and hampered by unclear leadership.

More recently, Blinken has been heavily involved in managing U.S. diplomacy in the Middle East and Europe, particularly in light of the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and between Israel and Hamas. His responsibilities also included navigating the complex U.S.-China relationship, which has experienced turbulence during the Biden administration.

As Blinken prepares to conclude his term, questions arise about his potential successor. Jake Sullivan, the current National Security Adviser, has not yet indicated whether he would consider remaining in a Harris administration or taking on a cabinet role.

Kamala Harris Seeking To Distance From Joe Biden As Much As Possible

The intentions on the side of Kamala Harris and her campaign couldn’t be any more clear. They want to keep her away from Joe Biden as such as possible because they view him and his entire administration, of which she’s a part, as politically toxic.

This is evident in the way they gave Joe Biden, the sitting Democrat President, the first night’s speech at the DNC, an obvious attempt to just get it out of the way so they can move on with the rest of the DNC without Biden in mind.

Convincing Americans that your administration will be vastly different and more successful on matters such as the economy and foreign policy than the one you’re already a Vice President for has to be a serious concern for Kamala Harris and the Democrats.

They’re probably not burnt at all by the fact that Blinken doesn’t want to serve under Kamala Harris, but it might be a worrying sign to 2020 Joe Biden voters who Kamala Harris needs to get out to vote for her in November.
