The national convention of Democrats went about as well you’d expect. It’s an exercise in insanity at this point.
And now the DNC descended into total madness and Democrats are in hysterics.
As the Democratic National Convention (DNC) rolls into Chicago, attendees will be greeted with an eyebrow-raising offer: free vasectomies and abortions just blocks away from the main event at the United Center.
In a move that highlights the DNC’s increasingly radical agenda, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers, serving parts of Missouri and Illinois, is bringing its mobile health clinic to the vicinity of the convention on August 19 and 20, according to The New York Times.
The clinic is set to provide abortion pills on both days, with vasectomies offered exclusively on Monday.
This unprecedented initiative emphasizes the DNC’s alignment with extreme reproductive policies, catering to a base eager for more than just political speeches.
Demand for these services is reportedly high. The vasectomy vehicle is already overbooked, with a waitlist of eager participants, as per the outlet.
Those lining up to be sterilized must fill out a Google Form, providing personal details like their name, birthdate, and contact information to secure their place in line.
Planned Parenthood’s Google Form encourages participants with the message, “Services will be provided on a sliding-fee scale — pay what you can and get the healthcare you need.”
Abortion pills seekers can also register online, though there isn’t a waitlist yet, meaning walk-ins could easily access the procedure without an appointment, according to reports.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who is expected to lead the 2024 Democratic ticket, has been a vocal proponent of abortion, especially in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision on June 24, 2022, to overturn Roe v. Wade.
As vice president, Harris launched a national pro-abortion tour in Wisconsin on January 22, 2024, marking the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, where she referred to abortion as one of America’s “fundamental freedoms,” as highlighted in a White House release promoting her “Fight for Reproductive Freedoms.”
Harris, alongside her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, is expected to take the stage at the DNC to further champion abortion and IVF, solidifying the party’s commitment to these contentious issues.
The lead-up to the DNC hasn’t been without controversy. Pro-abortion groups, feeling emboldened by the party’s stance, plan to stage protests the night before the convention.
After the city of Chicago announced that it would not issue permits for marches outside the convention, abortion rights activists took legal action against the city in May, according to ABC7 Chicago.
Among the planned demonstrations is a giant inflatable IUD, dubbed “Freeda Womb,” which activists intend to display as a symbol of their cause, as reported by The New York Times.
Amidst these tensions, local Chicago businesses are taking precautions, with more than a dozen boarding up their windows and doors in anticipation of potential unrest and destructive protests outside the DNC, WGN9 reported.
As the DNC kicks off on Monday and runs through Thursday, the convention is shaping up to be a showcase not just of political rhetoric but of the Democratic Party’s unyielding commitment to an agenda that many find increasingly extreme.
