It’s amazing Joe Biden knows where he is half the time. No matter what, he embarrasses himself.
And now the White House is reeling after Biden was caught in a boneheaded lie.
President Joe Biden raised eyebrows on Sunday when he boldly claimed his campaign had been “basically scandal-free,” a statement critics were quick to challenge.
“We’ve run a campaign that’s basically scandal free. That’s hard to do in American politics these days,” Biden said during the Democratic National Committee’s holiday reception in Washington, D.C.
The remarks sparked immediate backlash, with critics pointing out what they saw as glaring contradictions in Biden’s assessment.
Jacob Schneider of the Trump War Room shared a clip of Biden’s comments on social media, sarcastically captioning it:
“BIDEN: ‘We’ve run a campaign that’s basically scandal free. That’s hard to do in American politics.’ (Except covering up his obvious cognitive decline, peddling his family’s influence, hiding classified documents, etc etc etc).”

The criticism came swiftly, as many highlighted events they believed Biden was conveniently overlooking.
“Does Joe Biden not know what year it is?” asked Steve Guest. “He’s cooked if he thinks this.”
Others piled on, listing scandals they thought disqualified Biden’s claim. Shawn Farash noted, “Sure, but only if we don’t include – Afghanistan Withdrawal – Illegal alien invasion – Being caught with classified docs – Cocaine in the White House – Chinese Spy Balloon – Medical Emergency forcing him out of the race – Lying about pardoning Hunter.”
Stephen L. Miller chimed in with a biting quip: “So he won?”
Another critic didn’t hold back, writing, “Joe Biden says his entire campaign was ‘scandal free.’ Who wants to tell him?”
Biden’s claim comes on the heels of another controversial move last week, when he commuted the sentences of 1,500 individuals in what the White House described as the largest single-day grant of clemency in modern history.
The Daily Wire reported:
“In addition to those granted clemency, Biden said he was also pardoning 39 people convicted of non-violent crimes, including drug offenses. In total, the White House said that Biden’s actions ‘represent the largest single-day grant of clemency in modern history.’”
Adding fuel to the fire, Biden had issued a sweeping pardon for his embattled son Hunter Biden just days before, further intensifying scrutiny of his administration’s actions.
The president also took the opportunity during the DNC event to discuss Vice President Kamala Harris’ political future, but it was his “scandal-free” assertion that left many critics shaking their heads.
