This surprise contender could crash the Biden and Trump debate

The race for president just got flipped on its head. Democrats and Republicans are completely shell shocked.

Because this surprise contender could crash the Biden and Trump debate.

According to CNN, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. could perhaps qualify for the presidential debate on June 27.

The Biden and Trump camps agreed to the conditions in May, but CNN now reports that it is “not impossible” for Mr. Kennedy to stand onstage alongside President Biden and former President Donald Trump.

To qualify for the debate stage, a candidate must meet the constitutional criteria for president and submit a statement of candidacy to the Federal Election Commission.

A candidate must also appear on enough state ballots to earn 270 electoral votes and receive at least 15% support in four major polls.

Mr. Kennedy has 15% in three qualifying polls and is on the ballot in six states, totaling 89 electoral votes.

Last month, the independent candidate filed a complaint against the network, alleging that CNN colluded with the Biden and Trump campaigns to keep him off the debate stage.

The network stated that the remaining candidates, Jill Stein of the Green Party and independent Cornel West, are “less likely” to qualify.

CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate the 90-minute event in Atlanta.

It will be the first time Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump have shared a stage since their confrontation in 2020.

The debate will include two commercial breaks, during which candidates are not permitted to meet with members of their campaign staff.

No props or prewritten notes will be permitted onstage, however applicants will be provided with a notepad, pen, and bottle of water.

Microphones will be muted except for the candidate who is scheduled to speak – likely a detriment for President Trump who is quick on his feet and happy to throw jabs.

In addition, there will be no studio audience, which is unusual for a presidential debate.

Can you imagine why they wouldn’t want a live studio audience? Would it give away how people are really feeling about Biden?

Joe Biden is currently at a 38.1% approval rating.

That’s worse than every president’s approval rating this far along in their first term since George H.W. Bush. That’s including Donald Trump!

Even Kamala Harris fairs slightly better with a 38.4% approval rating.

Joe has a long way to go if he thinks he can keep the White House.
