The Left really doesn’t learn. And now they’ve put their feet in their mouth again.
Because a top Democrat made this disgusting claim about all Trump supporters.
Crockett’s Attack on Trump Supporters Falls Flat
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), appearing on Katie Couric’s Next Question podcast on June 16, labeled President Donald Trump’s supporters “mentally ill” and called for bipartisan rejection of his leadership, a move that dismisses the millions who backed him in 2024.
Crockett’s claim that “we’ve got a mental health crisis in this country because everyone … should be against Trump” ignores the strong support Trump enjoys for policies like border security, which saw zero illegal immigrant releases in May, per the New York Post.
Her inflammatory rhetoric, branding Trump voters as “sick” for supporting him, overlooks the economic gains under his administration, including a 1.7% real wage increase for blue-collar workers, as reported by the Treasury in June.
Trump’s focus on American prosperity and security clearly resonates, making Crockett’s call for unity against him seem out of touch.
Mischaracterizing Trump’s Military Celebration
Crockett criticized Trump’s role in the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday celebration, suggesting the June 14, parade was a self-serving display tied to his own birthday rather than a tribute to service members.
“This idea that we don’t care how many people get hurt, we don’t care how we prostitute our service members … it is sick,” she said.
Yet, the event, covered by Fox News on June 15, was widely praised as a patriotic honor for the Army, with Trump highlighting military strength as a cornerstone of his America First agenda.
Crockett’s accusation that Trump treats the military as his “own special little army” contrasts with his administration’s increased defense funding, up 3.2% from 2024, per a Pentagon budget report.
Her remarks risk alienating voters who see Trump’s leadership as a boost for national pride and military morale.
Overlooking Trump’s Electoral Strength
Crockett’s praise for former Vice President Kamala Harris, whom she claimed was more qualified but lost due to voters’ “racist and s*xist” biases, dismisses Trump’s commanding 2024 victory.
Exit polls from CNN show Trump won 53% of the popular vote, with gains among Latinos and Black voters, undermining her narrative.
She expressed a preference for “any regular Republican” like George Bush—without clarifying which—over Trump, saying, “I don’t know how far he has to go before we can come together and just say, ‘Enough is enough.’”
Yet, Trump’s policies, like the 95% drop in “gotaways” at the border reported by CBP in February, reflect the priorities of a coalition that Crockett’s comments sideline. Her focus on divisive rhetoric rather than engaging with Trump’s tangible achievements, like job creation and border control, highlights a disconnect with the voters who back his vision for a stronger America.
