Tragic update on Dan Bongino leaves Republicans sick to their stomach

Bongino is a hallmark of conservative politics. But this may be the end for him.

And a tragic update on Dan Bongino left Republicans sick to their stomach.

Bongino’s Triumphant Exit from FBI After Delivering Results

Deputy FBI Director Dan Bongino has announced his departure from the bureau next month, capping off a highly effective tenure focused on real accountability and transparency.

Bongino shared his heartfelt farewell on X Wednesday, shortly after President Donald Trump acknowledged the move during remarks at Joint Base Andrews, noting of Bongino, “I think he wants to go back to his show.”

“I will be leaving my position with the FBI in January. I want to thank President Trump, AG Bondi, and Director Patel for the opportunity to serve with purpose. Most importantly, I want to thank you, my fellow Americans, for the privilege to serve you. God bless America, and all those who defend Her,” said Bongino.

Appointed by President Trump in February, Bongino brought his proven track record from the NYPD, Secret Service, and years as a fearless conservative media voice exposing DOJ and FBI abuses—like the fraudulent Crossfire Hurricane operation and the suspicious handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Bongino Delivers on Key Promise: Cracking the Jan. 5 Pipe Bomber Case

One of Bongino’s top priorities upon taking the deputy director role was resolved just in time for his exit: identifying and arresting the suspected pipe bomber who planted explosives outside RNC and DNC headquarters in Washington, D.C., on January 5, 2021.

Attorney General Pam Bondi highlighted the breakthrough during a press conference, calling the arrest “the best birthday present” Bongino could have received—a testament to his relentless pursuit of justice on a case that had languished for years.

Standing Tall on Epstein Transparency Amid Internal Friction

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles praised Bongino’s integrity in recent Vanity Fair comments, contrasting his approach with others in the Justice Department.

Wiles criticized Bondi’s mishandling of the Epstein files release, saying she “completely whiffed” by providing “binders full of nothingness” to influential conservative reporters and influencers while falsely claiming a “client list” was on her desk.

“I think she completely whiffed on appreciating that that was the very targeted group that cared about this,” Wiles said of the attorney general. “First she gave them binders full of nothingness. And then she said that the witness list, or the client list, was on her desk. There is no client list, and it sure as h*ll wasn’t on her desk.”

In stark contrast, Wiles lauded the FBI’s leadership under Director Kash Patel and Deputy Bongino.

“The people that really appreciated what a big deal this is are Kash [Patel] and [FBI deputy director] Dan Bongino,” she said. She emphasized that both men, long before entering government, were leading voices demanding full Epstein transparency and suspecting elite connections were being hidden.

Once inside, Patel and Bongino rigorously investigated those suspicions—ultimately confirming no secret “client list” or buried bombshell files existed and courageously stating that truth publicly, ending years of misleading speculation.

Reports of tensions within the DOJ, particularly Bongino’s reported frustrations with Bondi’s approach to the Epstein matter, underscore his unwavering commitment to facts over politics as he prepares to return to his influential media platform.
