The president has enough on his plate as is. But this is getting out of hand.
Now Donald Trump came under a sudden attack from straight out of left field.
The legal war against Donald Trump is in full swing—again. Since returning to the White House on January 20, Trump’s administration has been bombarded with at least 73 lawsuits from activist groups, Democrat-led jurisdictions, and Left-wing legal organizations. Their goal? To obstruct his policies and derail his efforts to clean up Washington.
This is nothing new. Trump has long been a top target for political law-fare, a campaign that escalated to unprecedented levels during the 2024 election cycle when he faced four politically charged criminal indictments. The media frenzy reached its peak in the spring of 2024 when a Manhattan court, in a case many saw as a sham prosecution, found him guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
Trump has repeatedly declared his innocence, pointing to the cases as proof of Democrat-led efforts to weaponize the legal system against him. And the attacks haven’t slowed down since his victory in November 2024.
Radical Democrat state attorneys general wasted no time vowing to wage legal battles against the Trump administration. Among the most vocal was New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has made a career out of targeting Trump.
“We faced this challenge before, and we used the rule of law to fight back,” James said after Trump’s election win, signaling yet another round of partisan lawsuits. “And we are prepared to fight back once again because, as the attorney general of this great state, it is my job to protect and defend the rights of New Yorkers and the rule of law. And I will not shrink from that responsibility.”
Barely weeks into his second term, Trump is already facing a tsunami of legal challenges designed to slow down his policies and hinder his ability to enact his agenda. But it’s not just lawsuits — Democrats and government bureaucrats have also turned to street protests to resist Trump’s efforts to root out corruption and slash wasteful government spending.
As Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) moves forward with its mission to cut bloated budgets and eliminate bureaucratic waste, Left-wing officials are lashing out.
“That’s not acceptable,” House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., fumed in January. “We are going to fight it legislatively. We are going to fight it in the courts. We’re going to fight it in the streets.”
Radical Democrats in Congress echoed the same aggressive rhetoric.
“We will see you in the court, in Congress, in the streets,” Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., said during a rally outside the Treasury Department in February.
“We are gonna be in your face, we are gonna be on your a–es, and we are going to make sure you understand what democracy looks like, and this ain’t it,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, shouted at the same rally.
Democrats’ latest legal assault came to a head when a coalition of 19 Democrat attorneys general sued to block Elon Musk’s DOGE team from accessing Treasury Department data, halting efforts to expose rampant government fraud and waste. A judge temporarily sided with them, buying time for Washington’s bureaucratic machine to protect itself.
During an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier ahead of the Super Bowl on February 9, Trump was asked about the lawsuit and the judge’s decision.
“Nineteen states attorneys general filed a lawsuit, and early Saturday a judge agreed with them to restrict Elon Musk and his government efficiency team, DOGE, from accessing Treasury Department payment and data systems. They said there was a risk of ‘irreparable harm.’ What do you make of that?” Baier asked. “And does that slow you down and what you want to do?”
Trump didn’t mince words.
“No, I disagree with it 100%,” Trump said. “I think it’s crazy. And we have to solve the efficiency problem. We have to solve the fraud, waste, abuse, all the things that have gone into the government. You take a look at the USAID, the kind of fraud in there.”
Trump made it clear that the establishment’s efforts to block DOGE wouldn’t stop his administration from uncovering corruption.
“We’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars of money that’s going to places where it shouldn’t be going,” Trump said, reaffirming his commitment to exposing how taxpayer dollars are being misused.
While the Left pulls out all the stops to obstruct Trump, his administration is moving full steam ahead in its fight against government corruption. And if history has shown anything, it’s that Trump isn’t backing down.
