Trump threatens to take control of Minnesota if they don’t make this critical move

Minnesota is in an uproar over the recent ICE shooting. But it’s time for everyone to calm down.

And now Trump threatens to take control of Minnesota if they don’t make this critical move.

Rising Chaos in Minnesota Amid Immigration Enforcement

In the heart of Minneapolis, federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have been facing intense opposition while carrying out their vital duties to protect communities from dangerous criminals. Recent operations have led to violent confrontations, including a self-defense shooting by an ICE officer who was assaulted during an arrest.

This incident involved an alleged illegal immigrant who resisted and attacked the agent, prompting the officer to fire in fear for his life. The suspect, now in custody and stable, highlights the risks these brave agents endure daily. Just last week, another tragic event unfolded when a U.S. citizen was fatally shot after allegedly trying to ram her vehicle into federal officers.

These episodes have sparked protests, where agitators have clashed with law enforcement, leading to the use of non-lethal measures like tear gas to restore order.

Amid Democratic leadership in the state, including Gov. Tim Walz, there’s been criticism of ICE’s efforts, even as the agency successfully apprehends individuals accused of heinous crimes such as r*pe and drug trafficking.

Trump’s Strong Stance to Restore Law and Order

President Donald Trump, known for his unwavering support of law enforcement, has stepped in to address the escalating disorder. In a bold message on Truth Social, he warned that continued attacks on ICE agents—whom he proudly calls “the Patriots of I.C.E.”—would not be tolerated. Trump emphasized his readiness to use historic presidential powers to safeguard federal officers and end the unrest.

“If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State.”

This potential invocation of the 1807 Insurrection Act, last used in 1992 during the Los Angeles riots, underscores Trump’s commitment to federal authority and public safety over political gamesmanship.

Official Reactions and Calls for Accountability

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz responded to Trump’s warning with a plea for de-escalation on X, urging calm amid the tensions.

“Let’s turn the temperature down. Stop this campaign of retribution. This is not who we are. And an appeal to Minnesotans: I know this is scary. We can — we must — speak out loudly, urgently, but also peacefully. We cannot fan the flames of chaos. That’s what he wants.”

However, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson fired back, defending the administration’s actions and pointing fingers at local Democrats for fueling the violence. “Tim Walz, Jacob Frey, and Democrat leaders in Minnesota have done nothing but turn up the temperature, smear heroic ICE officers, and incite violence against them – all in defense of criminal illegal aliens.”

She further noted, “In Minnesota, ICE has arrested r*pists, drug traffickers, domestic abusers, and more, despite Democrat opposition. The Trump Administration will protect the American people and enforce the law without apology. The only statement Tim Walz should be making is an apology.

He has repeatedly compared ICE officers to N*zis and lied about their important work, including in his speech just last night.” As the situation unfolds, Trump’s decisive approach aims to bring swift resolution to a state gripped by avoidable turmoil.
