Trump’s Attorney General makes emergency national security declaration amid LA riots

The conflicts with ICE have reached a boiling point. The Trump administration has had enough.

That’s why the US Attorney General made this important national security announcement.

Trump Administration Cracks Down on Violent Rioters as FBI Identifies Key Suspect in LA Unrest

The Trump administration has launched an aggressive response to the violent unrest tearing through Los Angeles. On Monday night, Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed that the FBI has pinpointed the individual responsible for attacking a federal officer during the weekend’s chaotic riots. The suspect, identified as Reyes, is now the target of a federal manhunt, with a search warrant actively being served at his residence. Speaking on Fox News’ Hannity, Bondi delivered a stern message: “He is going to be on the Most Wanted list. You can run, but you can’t hide. We are coming after you federally.”

The turmoil in Los Angeles erupted Friday following Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids targeting illegal aliens across the city. Operations at locations like a Home Depot parking lot and the Fashion District aimed to apprehend dangerous criminals living unlawfully in the U.S. Predictably, these necessary actions sparked outrage among protesters, who quickly turned violent. Demonstrators hurled concrete chunks at ICE agents and LAPD officers, forcing authorities to deploy tear gas and flash-bang grenades to protect themselves and regain control.

As the weekend progressed, the situation deteriorated further. Rioters set Waymo self-driving taxis ablaze, blocked the vital 101 Freeway while waving Mexican flags, and defied police orders to disperse. The violence reached a boiling point when Reyes allegedly assaulted a federal officer and damaged government vehicles in Paramount, California, on Saturday. The FBI had already put up a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest, reflecting the administration’s determination to bring him to justice.

Bondi’s announcement showcases the Trump administration’s relentless pursuit of those who threaten law enforcement. “The FBI has identified him,” she told host Sean Hannity. “That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house, as we speak.” She credited the FBI’s exceptional police work, adding, “He has been identified by the great police work by the FBI.” This rapid response proves the effectiveness of federal agencies under President Trump’s leadership.

The administration’s commitment extends beyond this single case. Bondi vowed to prosecute rioters who engage in looting or disrespect law enforcement by spitting on officers. Looters face up to 20 years in prison, while those who spit on federal officers could see a maximum of five years behind bars. “As President Trump said: ‘You spit, we hit,’” Bondi declared, reinforcing the zero-tolerance stance that defines this administration. “Get ready. If you spit on a federal law enforcement officer, we are going to charge you with a crime federally.”

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Monday that at least 50 individuals have already been charged in connection with the riots. This swift action aligns with the Trump administration’s priority to protect communities from chaos. Meanwhile, the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops, authorized by President Trump, has bolstered efforts to restore peace in a city spiraling out of control due to unchecked lawlessness.

California’s Democratic leadership, however, has been less than cooperative. Governor Gavin Newsom labeled the National Guard deployment “unlawful,” a stance that ignores the urgent need to protect citizens and officers alike. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt fired back, stating, “These operations are essential to halting and reversing the invasion of illegal criminals into the United States.” She slammed California’s leaders for their failure to address the violence, accusing them of enabling the unrest.

The mainstream media’s coverage of the riots has been laughably detached from reality. Outlets like NPR and The Guardian labeled the protests “mostly peaceful,” despite clear evidence of arson, blocked freeways, and attacks on law enforcement. CNN’s Dana Bash went so far as to claim the destruction wasn’t a “real riot,” while the Los Angeles Times quoted Mayor Karen Bass dismissing the chaos as “relatively minor.” These characterizations conveniently downplay the severity of the situation and the Trump administration’s justified response.

Bass herself questioned the ICE raids, asking, “Why were there raids? We had been told that he was going to go after violent criminals. It wasn’t a drug den. It was a Home Depot.” Her remarks gloss over the dangerous criminal histories of those detained. Among them are individuals like Cuong Chanh Phan from Vietnam, convicted of second-degree m*rder, and Lionel Sanchez-Laguna from Mexico, with a record including discharging a firearm at a vehicle and battery on a spouse.

Other arrestees include Delfino Aguilar-Martines, whose past involves assault with a deadly weapon, and Armando Ordaz, linked to s*xual battery and theft. Jose Cristobal Hernandez-Buiron from Peru, who served a 10-year sentence for robbery, was also detained. These are not the “hardworking Angelenos” Bass and Supervisor Hilda Solis defend; they are threats to public safety that the Trump administration is rightly targeting.

The National Guard’s presence was a direct response to the escalating violence—burning vehicles, blocked highways, and injured officers demanded decisive action. Leavitt emphasized, “The Commander-in-Chief will ensure the laws of the United States are executed fully and completely.” President Trump’s authorization of federal troops highlights his unwavering commitment to protecting Americans from the chaos California’s leaders refuse to confront.

While Newsom and Bass criticize the administration, they offer no solutions to the destruction plaguing Los Angeles. Their reluctance to denounce the rioters only fuels further disorder. In contrast, the Trump administration has drawn a firm line, promising swift justice for those who attack law enforcement or destabilize communities.

The FBI’s identification of Reyes is a clear victory for federal law enforcement. Bondi’s pledge to pursue rioters federally sends a powerful message: violence will not be tolerated. The administration’s proactive stance contrasts sharply with the media’s efforts to minimize the unrest, ignoring the reality of burning structures and assaulted officers.

As riots continued over the weekend, the administration remained focused on restoring order. The deployment of troops, the targeting of dangerous criminals through ICE raids, and the pursuit of suspects like Reyes reflect a cohesive strategy to uphold the rule of law. President Trump’s leadership shines through in this crisis, proving his administration’s resolve.

California’s leadership, meanwhile, continues to deflect blame. Bass and Solis insist the detained are vital contributors to the economy, ignoring their violent pasts. The Trump administration, however, prioritizes the safety of law-abiding citizens over political posturing, taking concrete steps to remove threats from American streets.

The media may twist the narrative, but the facts remain undeniable. The Trump administration’s response—swift, firm, and unapologetic—stands as a bulwark against anarchy. With the FBI closing in on Reyes and federal charges looming for rioters, the message is clear and unmistakable that under President Trump, law and order will prevail.
