Donald Trump’s unprecedented executive order will change America forever

The president is cementing his legacy. And he’s not going to let anyone get in his way.

Now Donald Trump’s unprecedented executive order will change America forever.

President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order declaring English the official language of the United States, Fox News Digital confirmed Friday morning.

This move will reverse a 2000 mandate by former President Bill Clinton, which required federal agencies and recipients of federal funding to provide language assistance to non-English speakers.

According to a White House official, Trump’s order will remove this requirement and leave it up to individual agencies to decide whether to offer services in other languages.

Despite the United States’ nearly 250-year history, it has never had an official language, even though every major document — including the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence — has been written in English.

A White House official noted that about 180 of the world’s 195 countries have official languages, making the U.S. one of the few nations without one.

The executive order reflects Trump’s long-standing position on the importance of English in American culture.

During the 2024 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), Trump criticized the Biden administration’s immigration policies and expressed concern over the influx of foreign languages.

“We have languages coming into our country. We don’t have one instructor in our entire nation that can speak that language,” Trump said.

“These are languages—it’s the craziest thing—they have languages that nobody in this country has ever heard of. It’s a very horrible thing.”

The order is framed as a celebration of multilingual Americans who have learned English and passed it down through generations.

According to Fox News Digital, the White House believes this action will also help “empower immigrants” by promoting a common language as a pathway to achieving the American dream.

Since returning to the Oval Office in January, Trump has signed at least 76 executive orders, many aimed at restoring what he describes as American heritage and national identity.

Among his other actions, Trump has ordered the renaming of geographical landmarks to reflect American history, including changing the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

He also reversed an Obama-era decision by restoring Mount Denali’s name back to its original Mount McKinley, the tallest peak in the United States.

With this latest move, Trump continues to push back against what he views as Leftist cultural changes, reinforcing his commitment to preserving American values and promoting English as the unifying language of the nation.
