The political violence has gone too far. Not even Supreme Court Justices are safe.
And this U.S. Supreme Court assassination news has rocked the entire nation.
Donald Trump just survived a second attempt on his life when he made an impromptu trip to his golf course in Florida, and were it not for a sharp Secret Service agent who detected a small firearm peaking through a fence, Donald Trump would potentially be six feet deep. The violence is getting out of control.
Now yet another assassination news story is making Americans sick to their stomachs. The U.S. Department of Justice revealed the arrest and indictment of Panos Anastasiou, a 76-year-old man from Alaska, on charges of threatening to injure and kill six U.S. Supreme Court justices and some of their family members.
According to court documents, Anastasiou sent over 465 messages to the Supreme Court between March 10, 2023, and July 16, 2024, using a public website maintained by the court.
Anastasiou’s messages contained extreme and violent language, including references to l*nching, detailed descriptions of torture, and assertions that assassinating the justices would be an act of patriotism. While the indictment does not name the specific justices targeted, some of the content from his messages offers disturbing clues. For instance, in a message dated May 17, 2024, he stated the following (please excuse the language that we had to censor):
“I’m going to call and urge my fellow Vietnam veterans… to drive by the [Supreme Court Justice 2]’s house with their AR15’s and when f***ing [Supreme Court Justice 2] and his f***ing PIECE OF S*** C*** WIFE are HOME spray the home of these disrespectful mother f*****s with hundreds of rounds… hopefully k*lling these SCUMBAG C*********S. Hopefully N***** [Supreme Court Justice 1] and his white trailer trash n***** loving insurrectionist wife are visiting.”
In another message sent on July 1, 2024, Anastasiou wrote:
“ASSASSINATING THESE C*********S IS THE ONLY PANACEA… that includes the CONVICTED CRIMINAL, [Former President 1]. Again as an AMERICAN and to defend the constitution and democracy I want the assassinations by any ENTITY of the government or even a PATRIOTIC AMERICAN to commence. And PLEASE start with the assassination of the N***** and HERMAPHRODITE. As a Vietnam veteran and if I had the means and way I’d assassinate them myself. These f*****s are NOT ABOVE THE LAW.”
It is not difficult to infer who “[Former President 1]” refers to in these rants. Just two days later, Anastasiou escalated his rhetoric by declaring, “WE NEED MASS ASSASSINATIONS.”
Anastasiou’s brazen actions, including sending explicit threats directly to the Supreme Court’s website and challenging the justices to visit him after the FBI interviewed him, raise serious concerns. The U.S. Supreme Court Police began reviewing his messages in the spring of 2023, finding them troubling enough to prompt an investigation. Following an initial contact by FBI agents in Anchorage, Anastasiou allegedly sent another message referencing the interview and “daring” the justices to visit his home.
BREAKING: The DOJ has indicted an Alaska man named Panos Anastasiou for making over 400 violent threats against “six Supreme Court justices”
The indictment does not say which six justices he threatened but according to FEC records, he made 82 donations to ActBlue the most recent… pic.twitter.com/TgsClm2AdN

In the broader context, there has been a narrative among some Left-wing voices on social media that any would-be assassins of Donald Trump were, in some technical sense, Republicans. They point to past voter registrations or social-media comments as evidence.
However, the Butler shooter seemed like an angry individual willing to target both Joe Biden and Trump, as indicated by his web searches, while the Palm Beach would-be shooter had once supported Trump but had since become a fervent, unhinged opponent and an ActBlue donor. This insistence that only Republicans could be violent reflects a belief that all good resides on the Left, and all bad on the Right.
The case of Panos Anastasiou serves as a grim reminder that violent extremism exists on both ends of the political spectrum. His actions are further evidence of the dangerous potential of Left-wing violent extremism.
Mainstream Media Faces Criticism For Stoking The Flames
In the wake of the second Donald Trump assassination attempt, the mainstream media has not skipped a beat with their war against anyone who aligns themselves with the MAGA movement.
Just barely 24 hours after Trump was almost kiIIed in an ass*ss*nation attempt, #HillaryClinton is on MSNBC calling Trump a danger to the world. Is this what toning down the rhetoric looks like? pic.twitter.com/Yhk8j15s3u

Now, with credible threats being raised against U.S. Supreme Court Justices, Americans are going to be questioning just how helpful these harsh attacks from the likes of Hillary Clinton are. Donald Trump being the victim of some of these attacks may push some independent voters into his camp with a month and change ahead of the election.
