The Left is going off the rails quicker than you’d think. Now they’re ending up behind bars.
And one whack job Democrat politician got arrested for this shocking reason.
Federal law enforcement officers arrested Democrat Washington, D.C. Council-member Trayon White Sr. over the weekend in a high-end area of the city, marking a significant turn of events for the controversial politician.
The Washington Post reported that nearly a dozen FBI agents were seen at a luxury apartment complex in Navy Yard, where rents for even the smallest units start at over $2,000 a month.
The agents, armed with battering rams, were prepared to break down doors, signaling the seriousness of the situation.
Details about the charges leading to White’s arrest remain under wraps, but the public won’t have to wait long for answers, as a judge is expected to unseal the indictment during his arraignment on Monday.
White, a two-term Democrat representing Ward 8 in Southeast Washington, was considered a strong contender for a third term, according to The Post.
His sudden arrest has sent shockwaves through the city, catching even those closest to him, including fellow council members and his own lawyer, completely off guard.
While the exact charges remain a mystery, The Post hinted at underlying issues that may have led to White’s downfall.
Troubles began to surface during his primary race this summer, as reports of campaign finance irregularities from his previous two campaigns came to light.
Earlier this year, White was hit with a hefty $40,000 fine after failing to provide necessary documentation to resolve discrepancies involving thousands of dollars in reported expenditures and contributions.
According to the campaign finance office, $58,000 from his 2022 mayoral campaign was particularly problematic, as it was never properly accounted for.
This isn’t the first time White has made headlines for the wrong reasons.
He garnered national attention in 2018 after a bizarre social media post in which he claimed that Jewish bankers control the weather to take over cities.
“Man, it just started snowing out of nowhere this morning, man,” White said in the video.
“Y’all better pay attention to this climate control, man, this climate manipulation.”
“And D.C. keep talking about, ‘We a resilient city,’” White continued.
“And that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful.”
As White’s legal troubles unfold, they cast a long shadow over his political career and raise serious questions about the integrity of a Democrat who once seemed destined for a long tenure in Washington, D.C.’s political landscape.
