White House Press Secretary eviscerates Democrats for appalling attack on Christians

The Democrats have stepped on a landmine. It’s causing a full meltdown.

And now the White House Press Secretary has eviscerated Democrats for an appalling attack on Christians.

In the wake of a devastating shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, where a transgender individual gunned down innocent children during prayer, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki sparked outrage by dismissing the role of faith in America’s healing process. Psaki wrote on X that she has had “enough” with Christians offering their “thoughts and prayers” in response to the tragedy that claimed the lives of two young children and left 17 others wounded.

This attack on prayer comes amid growing evidence that Democrats are pushing Christians out of their party, leaving millions of faithful Americans feeling sidelined and attacked. Current White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t hold back in her response, calling out Psaki’s words as a direct insult to believers nationwide. Leavitt told reporter Reagan Reese that such remarks undermine the comfort that faith provides in times of crisis.

“I saw the comments of my predecessor, Ms. Psaki, and frankly I think they’re incredibly insensitive and disrespectful to the tens of millions of people with faith across this country who believe in the power of prayer, who believe that prayer works and that in a time of mourning like this, when beautiful young children were k*lled while praying in a church, it’s utterly disrespectful to deride the power of prayer in this country,” Leavitt said.

“And it’s disrespectful to the millions of people of faith. And I would encourage Ms. Psaki to pray for these families themselves who need it right now more than ever.” Leavitt’s rebuke highlights a deeper divide, as Democrats increasingly mock the spiritual responses that have long been a cornerstone of American resilience after senseless violence.

The shooting, carried out by Robin Westman, a trans-identifying male who legally purchased his firearms just before the attack, unfolded in horrifying fashion. Westman fired through a stained-glass window, instantly k*lling an eight-year-old and a ten-year-old, while injuring 14 children and three adults who were rushed to hospitals.

Adding fuel to the fire, Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey echoed Psaki’s sentiment during a press conference, urging Christians and people of faith to skip offering their “thoughts and prayers” since the children were already praying when the attack occurred. This cold dismissal was quickly praised by Democratic Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar and CNN’s Dana Bash on Inside Politics, showing how mainstream Democrats now openly belittle religious expressions in the face of tragedy.

Westman’s manifesto revealed a troubled mind, confessing regret over his transgender journey. He wrote that he regretted being trans and wished he had “never brainwashed” himself, adding that he understood he was not a woman, but “definitely [didn’t] feel like a man.” The shooter ended his rampage with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the back of the church, leaving behind a community shattered and a nation questioning the cultural forces at play.

This incident isn’t isolated; it exposes the Democratic Party’s ongoing hostility toward Christians, who once formed a key part of their base but now feel like outsiders. Polls indicate Democrats are hemorrhaging Christian support, with many believers citing the party’s aggressive push for policies that clash with biblical teachings. From abortion-on-demand to redefining marriage and gender, Democrats have prioritized progressive agendas that leave traditional Christians feeling alienated and unwelcome.

Historically, Catholics were a reliable Democratic voting bloc, but that relationship has unraveled as the party veered sharply left on social issues. Prominent Catholics in politics have expressed discomfort with the Democrats’ direction, pointing to a shift that prioritizes secularism over faith-based values. This erosion began accelerating in recent decades, as Democrats embraced positions that directly contradict core Christian doctrines on life and family.

One major flashpoint is the Democratic embrace of unrestricted abortion rights, which many Christians view as a direct assault on the sanctity of life. Party platforms now demand taxpayer funding for abortions and oppose any restrictions, even late-term procedures, making pro-life Christians feel like they have no place in the tent. This stance has driven away evangelicals and Catholics alike, who see it as incompatible with their faith’s call to protect the unborn.

The party’s full-throated support for transgender ideology further alienates Christians, as seen in this shooting. Democrats have championed policies allowing biological males in women’s spaces, gender-affirming care for minors, and curricula in schools that promote fluid gender identities—moves that clash with Christian teachings on creation and biology. Sermons and commentaries from faith leaders have even labeled such positions as part of a “demonic” agenda, reflecting the deep moral divide.

Democrats’ discomfort with religious language in public life compounds the problem. Party leaders often avoid invoking God or morality in speeches, treating faith as a private matter rather than a guiding force for policy. This secular approach leaves Christians feeling like their values are dismissed, especially when contrasted with Republicans who openly court religious voters.

Even in historically Democratic strongholds like the Black church, cracks are showing. Recent analyses suggest Democrats are losing ground here too, as congregations prioritize issues like family structure and religious freedom over the party’s social justice rhetoric. Pastors and parishioners report feeling pulled away by policies that undermine traditional teachings.

The Democratic National Committee’s removal of “God” from early drafts of party platforms in past cycles symbolized this drift, sparking backlash from faith communities who saw it as a deliberate exclusion. Combined with lawsuits against religious institutions over COVID restrictions and mandates, many Christians perceive a pattern of government overreach under Democratic leadership.

Critics argue that Democrats’ focus on identity politics over shared American values has created a party where Christians are tokenized at best and vilified at worst. Online forums and polls reveal believers describing themselves as “politically homeless,” unable to align with a party that mocks prayer and promotes what they see as moral relativism.

In this Minneapolis tragedy, Psaki and Frey’s comments serve as a stark reminder of how far Democrats have strayed from embracing any real faith. As Christians mourn the loss of young lives taken in a house of worship, the party’s leaders choose mockery over empathy, solidifying their image as out of touch with heartland values.
