California Democrat causes havoc after committing this despicable act

The Left doesn’t know how to act anymore. Now they’re deliberately skirting the law.

And a California Democrat caused havoc after committing this despicable act.

False ICE Raid Rumor Sparks Panic at Fresno Flea Market

A vibrant Fresno flea market, the Cherry Avenue Auction, stood eerily quiet over the weekend after a baseless rumor of an impending Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid spread like wildfire, triggered by a city council-member’s warning.

The misinformation, amplified online, left vendors who depend on the bustling market for their livelihoods grappling with a devastating financial hit.

“We have learned that this weekend, ICE is planning to engage in a massive immigration raid at the Cherry Auction in Fresno. So, I would advise our immigrant community to stay away from the Cherry Auction this weekend, as they could be putting themselves and their families at risk,” Councilmember Miguel Arias announced during a Thursday council meeting.

The claim sent shockwaves through Fresno and Easton, the small community hosting the market, which typically attracts thousands of locals each weekend.

TikTok videos echoed Arias’ warning, and a man was spotted near the market holding a sign that read, “La migra está en el remate” (“immigration is at the auction”), further fueling the panic, according to The Fresno Bee.

Market Organizers and Vendors Push Back Against Rumor

The Cherry Avenue Auction swiftly refuted the claim, stating it had “no knowledge of any planned ICE raid” and had not been contacted by authorities.

In a sharp rebuke, the market’s organizers expressed frustration with Arias’ comments, noting, “Since Cherry Avenue Auction is located within Fresno County jurisdiction — not the city of Fresno — we find it puzzling and offensive that a city councilmember would claim to possess such information.”

Vendors, left to face the fallout of the sparse turnout, voiced their dismay. Robert Brambila, a 30-year veteran vendor selling outdoor work gear, lamented to The Bee:

“I don’t see the way I’m going to make any money out here today. This is my main source of income and today is one of the most important days of the week for me, so it’s really affecting me.”

Devon Solis, who sells plants and clothing with her family, added, “If Arias just spread a rumor, he caused people to lose a lot of money today. He scared a lot of Mexicans away.”

Arias Stands by Warning, Cites Community Vigilance

As the market closed with dismal attendance, Arias suggested the rumored ICE raid never materialized because the immigrant community heeded his caution.

“Please continue sharing ICE activity taking place in your area, as it has become the best way to keep each other safe during President Trump’s cruel ICE raids,” he posted on Facebook, doubling down on his stance.

The incident has sparked debate over the responsibility of public officials in sharing unverified claims, with vendors and organizers left questioning the costly ripple effects of the council-member’s words.
